“They should have closed the hotel to outsiders when there is a wedding.”

It was poor. There was a wedding taking place and therefore nothing else apart from the room was available, not even a bar.

“Fabulous Find !!”

What a fabulous find . As other reviews say it is much more than a 3 star hotel . I only booked a basic room but it was really comfortable, plenty big enough , super clean , extra large comfy bed ,and lovely to have a kettle !! The evening meal was amazing !! So delicious, so flavoursome , beautifully presented all home made , great wine list . All the staff were welcoming, polite and spoke great English . We will definitely return as we drive regularly to and from Portugal to the UK .

As I travel a lot I am usually very critical of hotels. However this hotel in its category is very difficult to fault. The rooms are pleasant and sufficiently spacious. The grounds are lovely and the staff are well trained; friendly and efficient This hotel is in my view worth a 4 star rating

“A no frills stopover with lovely grounds and a pool”

We stayed here a couple of weeks ago. This time we had an upstairs room which was very nice. Rooms are simple but there is a separate toilet which is good. Parking is easy. Pool is heated Dinner was reasonable and very nice. Staff very helpful, too especially with my luggage as they don’t have a lift!

A beautiful experience was had. From the moment we stepped through the front entrance and were greeted till the time we left. The staff were extremely attentive,friendly and welcoming. Any questions we had were dealt with effectively. Our whole experience was most enjoyable, from a quick dip in the pool to our evening meal (delicious!!!!) to our perfectly presented comfy room. Our room was small but it was fine. The pool was good. The surrounds very pleasant with a big lake and easy parking.

Loved the staff, the warmth and enthusiasm! A little out the way, we found a jewel on a little lake, freshly renovated rooms, really well thought through, plenty of space to put luggage and hang up clothes, which I find lately really challenging- so many rooms look only good without guests being there for longer than a night. This place had plenty of room, a little terrace with a gorgeous view over the lake, a beautiful bathroom with separate toilets. Very good price value. We stayed for 5 nights, we arrived a day too early and we were accommodated, despite that our suite had been booked, in an equally nice room for the same rate. The staff all extraordinarily nice, Chloe earns a special mention for being, very helpful with recommendations for day trips and just being such a nice smiling person to be around! We will definitely go back, this was the only 3 star during our holidays, but will get 5 stars for friendliness, service, food ( breakfast & excellent dinners), the room, the view and again the people! ❤️

From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel welcome. The restaurant is good and the rooms are always very clean and in good condition. This is the second time we have stayed here and it is possible my favorite hotel.
