A charming and cozy house. Superbly located walking distance from Monschau town center. And with beautiful views on the surrounding forest. The hosts were incredibly friendly, responsive, and helpful for any questions we had. The house was very clean, complete with coffee and tea. Though we ate out, there is a great kitchen should one want to stay in and cook. And cute garden for outdoor fire pits and star gazing. And we loved the décor of the interior -- highly recommend for a weekend getaway!

The style and architecture of the building. That sense of history and older times… The kitchen was my favorite room in the house with three original style windows and furniture. The bedrooms with comfortable beds, wooden old floors.

What a wonderful little gem of a place. We only stayed one night but would have enjoyed to stay longer. Staff are lovely and place was so peaceful, good location just outside the bustle of the town but just a short walk and you are there.

“Perfect home away from home”

We absolutely fell in love with this old house and felt right at home. We liked the crooked floors and the interior design. We had everything we needed. The kitchen is fully equipped and the bathroom is nice. The house was spotless! The personal touch of the host was highly appreciated. From the personalised welcome message, to the local cookies and the recommendations of where to park and good hikes in the area. We had a slight issue with internet (turned out it was a network issue and not the WiFi) and Johannes came personally to help us out. The response time to any question is very quick. This village is magical (though very touristy, understandably). So many nice shops, restaurants and cafes! If you are coming in the weekend, I recommend doing grocery shopping before arrival. The grocery shops are closed on Sundays (other shops are open though!) We were able to hear the river inside the apartment (as it's so peaceful and quiet) - we loved it! it was very soothing.

The character of the old house was lovely. It felt a bit like being thrown back in time.
