“Carefree comfort”

Amazing location: all area's of interest are easily accessible from this location, while offering a quiet getaway away from city noises. The nearest town of monchau offers a variety of restaurants and other facilities, while you will also find a small supermarket on walking distance. The city of Aachen is reachable in 30 minutes by car. Superhost: your host, Tanja, is very friendly and has stocked the apartment with more essentials than you would expect from a holiday rental. The fresh eggs from chickens in the garden come on top of that. It is clear they make your comfort their priority. Comfortable apartment: the apartment offers spaciousness through multiple rooms (e.g. 2 living rooms), making it suitable for longer stays with up to 5 persons. The place is well maintained (some parts are even recently refurbished), clean and tidy, while offering a homely atmosphere. If you plan to use the kitchen you'll find it stocked with everything you need, including those spices you forgot to bring. In the morning you can enjoy the sun on the modest, but adequate balcony overlooking the green gardens of the neighborhood. For electric drivers: I find it challenging to manage charging when in more rural areas and away from highways. This area is no exception. Due to neglectant maintenence of chargers, as well as defects stemming from the 2021 flood, many chargers are out of order and demand is bigger than supply. Your nearest option is in monchau. There's a fastcharger situated on the paid parking lot next to the natural museum. However, both ccs and chademo cables are broken and it thus offers only a 22kw mennekes. The parking lot on the other side of town also offers 2 mennekes. Good luck finding one that's available. For visiting the eifel lake, you'll find 2 mennekes at the paid parking lot at the old military complex (from which many hikes start).
