This hotel is located in a characteristic 18th-century residence less than 15 minutes’ walk from the centre of Mons. St James features free Wi-Fi, a cosy bar and a terrace. “A good, reliable place to stay.”
A good hotel near the city centre, within easy walking distance of the Grande Place. Easy parking outside the hotel, easy to find, and overall a highly satisfactory experience. Breakfast deserves a special mention; although bacon is not on the menu, if you ask nicely, the lady will make you some. I asked for "a mountain of bacon" with my fried eggs, and got it, too. Very pleased! This is my third stay, so that must mean something!

Breakfast was pretty good with good choice of foodstuffs. The lady who attended the reception at the same time as looking after breakfast got me an OUTSTANDING omelette on my plate.

“Excellent location with affordable prices.”
The room was big and clean. The locations is near the historical center and you can go by foot for almost every touristic points. There are some free public parking slots in front of the hotel, but the hotel also has its own parking (ask the location by message, because it is in the back street).

“Great location and very comfortable stay”
Great location just a few minutes walk from the centre of town. Very clean with attentive staff. Bedroom was a good size with a very comfortable double bed. Continental breakfast was adequate if a little on the expensive side. Overall though I would thoroughly recommend staying here if you are visiting Mons and the surrounding area.

“Value for money weekend hotel.”
The room was very clean and tidy with a comfy bed and a good bathroom with a shower. The hotel is on the corner of a very busy road but not to much noise can be heard because of the double glazing windows. The staff where friendly and only 5 min walk away from the main square in mons.

“Ok stay overall”
Breakfast was good, but they had run out of some things by 8.30 am. Private Parking was good although limited, it was possible to reserve. Good size bathroom. Location good for a short 20-15 min walk to the old square

“Avoid the Hotel Annex”
The Hotel has a main building and an annex reached via a covered walkway, I stayed in the annex. Secure motorcycle and car parking is available in the courtyard behind the Hotel. Staff are freindly and the accomodation was clean. Location is Ok with a 10/15 minute walk into the town centre
