We particularly enjoyed the large swimming pool, the comfortable sun loungers, the hammocks, and the many seating areas thoughtfully placed throughout the grounds, creating a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The grounds are simply stunning, with lush vegetation and vibrant flowers whose fragrance enhances the charm of this beautiful place. The breakfast was outstanding, offering a wide variety of high-quality tasty local products. You can also have dinner at the masseria, which is equally delicious! Masseria Verbena is a true gem—a place where beauty, tranquility, and genuine hospitality come together to create an unforgettable experience. Masseria Verbena is beautiful, it’s unique, stylish and really comfortable - we couldn’t have asked for a better first family holiday with our four month old and are already planning our return trip next year. The hosts are truly wonderful and make you feel welcome and looked after from the moment you arrive. Our baby also had the best time being cuddled by the family, and the team while we ate breakfast (which was one of the most varied and tasty we’ve had!) Highly recommend having dinner too! Was delicious.

Beautiful garden and infrastructure. A lot of art, old equipment and furniture, handicraft. All of this makes this place unique. Tasteful rustic apartment with local vibe but with modern amenities like jacuzzi :) Comfortable and nice swimming pool. Very good location (with a car) - close to many great beaches, most popular tourist destinations, top Puglia historic towns. Extremely nice and helpful hosts - make you feel like an old friend visiting their house. Very good local, homemade food prepared for breakfast and for dinners (served once in a couple days). Small of nocturne flowers at night and five friendly cats :)

Masseria Verbena is a wonderful place with beautiful rooms, interior and garden. Emilio, Giulia and Roberto were incredibly generous and always ready to help with anything we needed. Hosts Emilio, Julia and Roberto are exceptionally lovely, so friendly and obliging. The venue is tastefully decorated to an exceptionally high standard. MASSERIA VERBENA fully deserves to win a major tourism award. Large, well-appointed open yard area, with multiple private areas. It was actually very hard to leave, the experience was just so nice - we were made to feel so warmly welcome. Beautifully quiet and peaceful too. Within easy driving distance of all the key attractions within 100 km. MOLTO BRAVISSIMO!! (oh, and special mention for Roberto’s daily fresh-baked cake, yummo!)

The proximity to all the nearby towns, such as Monopoli, Alberobello, polignano a mare, Matera and Lecce. The property is situated amongst century old olive groves and the peaceful surroundings are wonderful. The property has a beautiful large pool, great for warm days.

This was the best breakfast we had on our enitre holiday, we are not morning people but we looked forward to what was on offer every morning. Regional produce made with love. The staff in the morning come and say hello and make sure everything was comfortable and in working order. The room was absolutely beautiful, with great ameneties and attention to detail. Roberto and his family were extremely kind hosts. This is a real family owned Agriturismo, a true Italian experience. Going to one has been on our bucket list for quite some time and it exceeded our expectations. Highly recomended for couples or families.

This is a charming Historical retreat with modern comforts. My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at this beautifully property which effortlessly combines historic charm with modern conveniences. The interior is elegant blend of rustic and contemporary design , featuring stone walls and vaulted ceilings that create a warm and inviting atmosphere. This place is ideal for traveling to other cities - Monopoli, Polignano, Alberobello, Cisternino, Locorotondo, Martina Franca. Staying at Masseria Emilio was an unforgettable experience, and a large part of that is thanks to the incredible hospitality of Emilio, Giulia and Roberto. From the moment we arrived, they welcomed us with open arms and made us feel completely at home. Their warmth and genuine care were evident in every interaction, making us feel like we were part of their family. They went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. Whether it was offering local recommendations, assisting with our plans, or simply checking in to see if we needed anything, they were always there with a smile and a helping hand. Their attention to detail and commitment to making our stay comfortable and enjoyable were truly exceptional. We left with a heavy heart saying goodbye and Emilio walked out of the property waving us goodbye till the car departed. Such good people in this world is hard to find.

Is one of the best location we stayed in the last years. The location is a former olive oil farm which was superbly rehabilitated and transformed in a touristic establishment by the owners. Being a former farm please note that the location is a bit outside of the inhabited neighbourhoods, therefore a car is a must to have in order to be travel easy and save time, but it well worth it. The owners Emilio and Julia, together with their son Robert, are excellent hosts and they do their best to make you stay unforgettable. The interiors are very nice furbished in a bit a retro/rustic style, but with modern time functionality. The exteriors also look in a pretty good shape. Air condition is working pretty well, which is a clear need if you are there in the summer. And I need to mention the breakfast. While the overall Italian breakfast is mainly towards for sweets pastries, here you also you can have local savory products: cold cuts, cheeses, omelettes, bruschetta and tasty savory tarts plus fruits and complemented with great espressos done by Roberto. We really enjoy our one week stay and we fully recommend for people who likes to travel to get a more personal touch and close to locals, rather than formal hotels. P.S. They also have a nice pool and settings around to relax if you do not want to go to a beach.

Our recent trip to Masseria Verbena will forever be the highlight of our month-long holiday in Italy. We arrived at this magnificent property totally unaware of the magical experience we would encounter. The property and rooms exude tranquility, serenity and a feeling of home. The pool area is gorgeous, together with the many sitting areas, which have been decorated beautifully by Giulia. The property is in a fantastic location and within close proximity to visit all the beautiful nearby regions of Puglia. And the breakfast every morning was incredible, offering a large selection of sweet and savoury homemade dishes. But above all, the hosts Emilio, Giulia and Roberto are some of the kindest people we’ve ever met and made us feel like family. We wanted to drive out for dinner the first night but felt uneasy as we had never driven in Italy before, so Emilio offered to drive us to the centre of Monopoli, he showed us where the best places to visit were and then picked us up two hours later. This even made him late to his own family dinner, which didn’t bother him at all. After coming back from dinner another night, the family were sitting outside and they invited us to join them, we sang songs, drank wine and laughed until the early hours of the morning. We have been travelling for years but have never met such heartwarming, caring people. Thank you Emilio, Giulia and Roberto for the most incredible stay. We have found lifelong friends, and we look forward to visiting Masseria Verbena again very soon. ❤️

We had a wonderful stay in Masseria Verbena. The hosts Emilio and Roberto welcomed us very warmly. The Masseria is in every small detail impressively beautiful, warm, clean and provides a south Italian charme with great art details which fit it the surroundings. I would highly recommend this Masseria to all my friends and family. Even before the breakfast starts at 8:30, the owners were so kind to serve a coffee since I was awake already at 6 with my little son. We loved the swimming pool and the huge garden to relax. We will return one day for sure!

“Authentic gorgeous place to stay close to all the puglia attractions”

The dream rustic proper Masseria style place to stay in Puglia with a lovely local family who really take care of you. Masseria Verbana is gorgeous and it’s a very authentic experience! The rooms and entire property are decorated very authentically and it’s just gorgeous. The photos don’t do it justice. Three of us girlfriends had a deluxe suite and it was huge and perfect for us. Roberto and his family are lovely - we had family dinner there which was a highlight and they added small touches to the trip (welcome drinks, snacks, friend providing taxi, authentic dinner etc.) which were really appreciated. The breakfast was varied and wonderful. The pool is super relaxing to get away from the tourist busy spots but you’re super close to all the best places in Puglia. Car definitely necessary but parking there makes it very convenient. Would love to go back!
