This family-run bed and breakfast is situated in peaceful rural surroundings, only a 5-minute drive from Monnickendam. Meerzicht offers free Wi-Fi and has a spacious garden with a barbecue terrace. Each of the rooms at Hoeve Meerzicht is located in a renovated former hay loft and has countryside views. They also feature a refrigerator and tea and coffee making facilities. The centre of Amsterdam, featuring sights including the Van Gogh Museum and the Artis Zoo, is 20 minutes’ drive away. Meerzicht Hoeve benefits from free private on-site parking.

“An amazing place to stay! A 100 out of 10! 😉”
The location is great for visiting Amsterdam - it takes 20- 25 mins by bus to the central railway station (Amsterdam Centraal). The buses run regularly, like every 10 mins. Though, there is a 15-20 mins walk to and from the bus stop, which is quite pleasant with cows, sheep, horses, wild ducks and geese on the roadside. The city of Monnickendam is very charming as well and there is a great supermarket (Deka Markt) there, where we could buy everything we needed to cook our own meals. It is no more than 40 mins walk from the house and if you rent a bike, it shouldn't be more than 10 mins away. The room was great with a basic kitchen (no cooker or microwave, they can be used in a shared kitchen), which was great for breakfast or just an afternoon tea with a view. The owners are extremely nice people who made us feel there like home.

Wonderful location, near charming Monnickendam but peaceful, green surroundings with lake view. Bus to Amsterdam 15 min. Cheerful, spacious, airy, comfortable room. Tasty breakfast. Very friendly Paula showed us the milking and gave lots of interesting info about the farm.

Very beautiful place, the around walking is fantastic with views and nature. The landlord is kind and helpful. It is very happy to have breakfast included in the price, hand made food from the landlord. Very recommend if you like country site or peaceful place to stay

“For us, our stay is wonderful and we are all happy with such a big smiles on our faces.”
The location is very nice and green and it is not far from the centrum. It is situated in a farm and we like it. My daughter loves animals, so she enjoyed it much, she missed the friendly cat. She even cried when we left.
