To start with, the owner was incredibly nice and generous to offer help before my arrival as I battled heavy thunderstorms on my bicycle (I'm an American journalist doing a series of articles on cycling in Portugal and Spain for several American magazines). But I'm too stubborn to call it quits, and cycled to home. I was lucky that he was standing outside the home, and called my name as I was looking for the address in the pouring rain (trying to use Google maps in the rain is almost impossible on a cell phone as the display goes erratic). Home is large, and much more than I needed (traveling solo). WiFi works great, has washer, kitchen, tv, patio, pool, etc. I used just the one bedroom (of several), and it was comfortable ... I like it when I can look out at the street. Near several markets (walking distance)

“Would definitely go back if we were back in the area: comfortable, convenient and very friendly”
House was lovely and cool in very hot weather. Pool was a godsend. José Luis was friendly, helpful and accommodating. Supermarket and bars and cafés all within easy reach.
