A beautiful hotel with delightful and friendly staff. Moneglia is a quiet change from much of the rest of the Ligurian coast, with some good restaurants near the hotel. Breakfast in the cloisters and good drying racks, even if the weather didn’t allow beach swimming. But beach towels provided. And the hotel laid on a delicious dinner one night - Ligurian home cooking. Location just a few hundred metres from the railway sits excellent.

A unique and amazing stay in an historic building, in amongst the abbeys cloisters, a real treat to have a few nights here! Greta is a fabulous host, especially helpful and plenty of good suggestions and Moneglia is a lovely little town. Breakfast is outstanding!! Everything local and top top quality! A sanctuary just up the train line from crowded CinqueTerre, you must make this part of your Ligurian trip!!

It was a wonderful building next to the church with a lot of charm and open spaces. In the second floor I liked the open lounge and the deck chairs. Perfect to catch an evening sun☀️ It’s very close to the beach. The rooms are fully equipped. (beachtowels, minibar, tea…etc.) We’ve gotten very delicous cookies every day and even cake, which we took to the beach. The service was very thoughtful and hospitable. In the morning we could chose of a wide menue card, which is inclusive and very yummy. We loved the atmosphere and the stay at abbadia! thank you very much🤍

An absolutely beautifully maintained church monastery conversion, where you’re surrounded by the past while being soaked in the present. The hotel management and staff are wonderful. We will certainly return.

“Exceptional Accommodation and staff”

A great location and staff were fantastic. a great base for exploring Cinque Terre and coming back to a location that was quietly nestled in town within a minute of the restaurants and beach front, the building was once a monastery associated with the church that sits adjacent and had very large comfortable rooms. A great selection at breakfast and the staff were only too willing to accommodate all your needs. We actually left early in the morning to continue our travels and the ladies made up a packed breakfast to take on our journey. would highly recommend this location

“Absolutely amazing!”

We arrived there 2 hours before check in and we kindly could check in even earlier than planned. The location is beautiful. Very calm atmosphere, beautifully decorated and you instantly feel very welcome. The room is very cosy, it was very clean and there were already homemade cookies waiting for us to be eaten :-) with some tea. The room is exactly as in the pictures, so is the whole hotel. Then we parked our car at the private parking which was gated and we felt our car was safe and only a 2min walk by the hotel. The village itself is amazing. Very calm and beautiful. Greta was such a sweetheart and made recommendations and reservations for the restaurants for dinner (Julia and Monilo), which we both recommend. She is such a kind person and so is everyone else. After we went to the cinque terre on the first day as a day trip, which is super easy to get to (train station is a 5min walk from the hotel), we had homemade cake waiting in the room for us. The staff really seems to be loving what they do. You can feel that. Now the breakfast, I mean where should I start. Everything was fresh, great choice and just simply super delicious. There‘s absolutely nothing negative about this hotel. Thank you to Greta and the whole staff that gave us such great memories to our babymoon. Keep doing what you do!
