Stunningly restored building with warm, friendly staff. Super comfy rooms, lovely rooftop (too cold to get in the pool in April, but I can imagine it will be perfect in a month or two). Incredible breakfast (Aziz and his team went out of their way to accommodate our early start), and the honesty box for a selection of local wines is such a good idea.

We had an amazing stay at Dar Benti. I cannot praise the staff enough. The hotel was immaculate and so tastefully decorated, you can see it is the owners pride and joy. Aziz and the team were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was absolutely amazing and lots of it, with lots of homemade goodies. Bedrooms and bathrooms were of a great size, very comfortable with everything needed. It is right in the Médina and in an absolute gem.

A unique place with a unique atmosphere in the heart of the medina. A wonderful terrace where everyone can find a spot to relax. It's rare to find such a delicious breakfast served this way. There was no problem with parking our car near the Dar according to the information provided.

The welcome was warm and friendly. We were given a tour of the entire hotel and told about its history. French is the main language spoken, but some of the staff also spoke English. The hotel is of a European standard and is very well maintained. The location is perfect, right in the middle of the medina of Monastir. You are right on the market street, but the accommodation in the inner area exudes tranquillity and makes you forget the hustle and bustle. The team is very courteous and always endeavours to meet the needs of all guests. We received good advice about diving. The pool is a nice way to cool off in the hot summer temperatures. In addition to the standard dishes, there was another speciality every day for breakfast. I found the Tunisian dish ‘Ojja’ very tasty. We highly recommend the hotel as it has its own unique charm.

The guest house is absolutely stunning. Our room was perfect and Sarah the owner was so friendly and happy to talk to us about the history of dar benti. Sarah has worked incredibly hard to rebuild dar benti, whilst keeping as many original features, this was honestly one of the most beautiful places we stayed and visited. You would not be disappointed! The staff are all so lovely and helpful. The breakfast was sensational. The extra touches throughout the day were wonderful, little traditional snacks and mini mint and lemon ice lollies were just what we needed in the hot lunchtime sun. We have been blown away! The entire home is immaculately clean and very well maintained and managed. Thank you Sarah for sharing this home with us and to all the staff for helping make this an experience we will never forget

“Highlight of our trip to Monastir”

Very clean and nice spacious room. The service was excellent especially the home-made breakfast each morning which we would look forward to. You could tell the breakfast was made with a lot of care and passion from the staff. The property is about 10 minute walk from the Ribat and maybe 15 minute walk from the Monastir marina area. The housekeeping staff were quick and thorough. The upstairs area and pool was great for relaxing. If we ever return to Monastir, we would stay here again.

The beautiful design touches wherever you look. Immaculately clean and a serene, calm atmosphere inside a busy Medina.

Lovely place. An oasis of calm in a busy city. The hosts were very helpful, they even organised a bespoke fishing trip for us at short notice.

IN REALITY I DIDN´T STAY ON THE PROPERTY DUE I DIDNT HAVE THE CASH, THEY DONT RECEIVE CREDIT CARDS AS I WAS WORKING I HAVE TO PAID BY CARD, I VISIT THE PROPERTY IS INSIDE THE MEDINA OR CITY DOWN TOWN AS SOME ARAB COUNTRIES OF THE NORD OF AFRICA ARE LOVELY PLACES FULL OF LIFE AND OFFERS FOR LOCALS AND FOREIGNERS. THE PLACE IS FANTASTIQUE MORE RECOMENDED THAN THE OTHER BEST QUALIFIED HOTEL IN MONASTIR THAT I STAY DUE THE CARD ISUE.

The breakfast was lavish, excellent, with many choices of Tunisian and European fare. We greatly enjoyed it.
