“Great hotel if you cannot find accommodation near the Camino route. You will need a taxi.”

This is off the main Camino route so you need a taxi to get to it. It is, however, near an old Camino route so you can easily walk from it to restart your pilgrimage. It is a big hotel with lots of rooms and the staff are very good and the food is also very good too. Just make sure you great a room that has not been used by a smoker.

The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. Could not ask for better service. Restaurant and bar had a nice atmosphere and good food/ drinks

Let’s be clear that the hotel lists itself as a two star, so no need to complain about a lack of luxury. And I must admit that when we arrived, the exterior of the hotel looks very shabby and run down. However, when we got in we were immediately and very warmly greeted and helped to check in and on our way to our room I was happily surprised to see that the corridor, room and sheets were all spotless clean. I mean like it was a HUGE improvement to all the other and often more expensive hotels we stayed at along the sun highway. Cherry on top were the extremely good beds. Maybe there weren’t a lot of guests when we stayed there, but it was also really quiet and we slept like babies. Checking out was as fast and pleasant as the checking in was. We won’t be staying at any other hotel anymore on our trips along that highway.

Walking on camino Via Bayona- the camino passes right by this hostal. Got a nice welcome as a pilgrim. Room comfy, clean and warm. Nice touch is net curtains to hide the less than picturesque views of either N1 at front or car junk yard behind - its in a service area on N1 which feels semi-derelict but the once you get inside the hostal it is very nice! Bar and restaurant mainly serves drivers on the road but food was decent! Good one night stay - and if you felt like stretching your legs there are some nice tracks up the hills behind the hostal - the next village Monasterio de Rodillo is also nice to explore with ermita de Nuestra Señora de Valle.

“Typical Spanish Truck Stop”

This is a classic Spanish truck stop, mostly used by French and Spanish truck drivers. The accommodation is very clean and comfortable with warm rooms and lots of hot water. I stayed here earlier this year as well. Little English spoken but French is OK. Not much menu choice - you eat what they supply but it is good local produce.
