“Hotel for local people”

The hotel is very simple and seems more focused on local guests. When we arrived late in the evening, the room was warm and missing some basic amenities, but overall it offers a very modest and traditional experience

Staff were friendly but there was a language barrier. Big room.

Clean and quiet close to the town center. Staff will do anything to please you. Sri Lankan breakfast was tasty and included.

“Excellent attentive staff”

Victory Inn  was right off the main bus route and an easy 5 min walk from the bus stop. The hotel is large, rooms are large and clean with storage space. There's a balcony as well. Wifi was strong in the room. AC also very strong. The staff were extremely attentive, friendly and very helpful. We ate at the restaurant, the food was incredible. They made sure we had enough to eat, and served us cold fruit drinks and cold beer. They also had breakfast ready for us in the morning that we pre ordered. They helped us figure out which bus to take to our next destination in the morning! The staff took excellent care of us and we highly recommend anyone coming through Monaragala to stay here. It's right on the main strip so you can also walk to anything you need. Cannot emphasize how amazing and attentive the staff are!!!
