Our room had a good kitchen, comfy beds and a great balcony. The hosts spoke English and were helpful in organising trips and telling us what to do locally. Out of the 10 hostels we staying in in Ecuador this was our favourite.

Very helpful and welcoming staff, especially Santiago. Large room with kitchen and balcony (including hammock). Close to the centre of the (very small) village, yet far enough to keep party noise away..

The owner was friendly, helpful, very communicative through the Booking.com app and spoke excellent English. The room was large and comfortable. This is a rustic property in a rustic, laidback town (so don't expect luxury), and was great value for money.

“Perfect relaxation spot by the beach”
I went for 3 nights, stayed for 2 weeks! What a perfect place to relax recharge during your trip. Double beds, sheet changes, free breakfast all within metres of the beach. The outdoor kitchen keeps cool when its hot, the room has fans but always has a breeze and the beds are comfortable. Perfect for a low-key beach hostel.

“Beautiful hostel close to the beach”
We stayed at Casa Mompiche for four nights during Christmas. In that time there were not so many guests around what we enjoyed a lot. We liked the little terrace in front of the room where we could sit and eat. The kitchen was well equipped.

We loved the family cabin. It was spacious, comfortable beds, a good kitchen to use and location was great. Every recommendation they made (whale watching, where to eat on Isla de Portete) was excellent.
