Overview
A mere 5-minute drive from the Monbetsu Oyama Ski Resort, Monbetsu Prince Resort features an indoor and an outdoor natural hot spring bath, a sauna and massages. It offers Japanese-style and Western rooms with free wired internet. Japanese-style rooms come with a tatami (woven mat) floor and traditional futon bedding, while carpeted Western rooms are fitted with beds. All rooms are air-conditioned, and equipped with a TV, a mini-fridge and an en suite bathroom. Guests at the Prince Monbetsu can leisurely unwind in public hot spring bath, or browse the souvenir shop for local specialities. The hotel houses drinks vending machines and free parking. Prince Hotel Monbetsu boasts a breakfast buffet with more than 40 kinds of Western and Japanese food items. The restaurant serves Japanese food for dinner, specialising in crab dishes. The hotel is a 10-minute walk from Monbetsu Bus Terminal, and a 22-minute drive from Okhotsk Sky Tower.

“Nice quick stay for a night with onsen”
Traditional onsen with sauna, ice bath, indoor and outdoor onsen. Room was big and spacious and quite. 13 mins drive away from airport.

At first the hotel looked too dark and kind of old. But actually everything was very comfortable. The onsen was beautiful, especially the outside one. Considering it was just a stop on my long journey from east to west of Japan, I had an unexpected good stay. I would come back for a more deep experience of Monbetsu, especially in winter.

The onsen is fabulous, it has a sauna and a cold bath too. In general the hotel is pleasant and doesn't provide kitchen but does provide micro mave, ice, water.

“Decent plaice to stay at Mombetsu”
This was a stopover hotel for my long distance ride from wakkanai to Shiretoko. Lots of parking right in front of hotel. Breakfast spread was reasonably good and the setting was cozy and like being in a family runned restaurant, the service team was excellent both at restaurant and at reception. The decor and furnishing are rather dated, breakfast coupons in laminated cards were issued and facts sheets were paper copy, i am ok as everything is still functional. There is an onsen in the hotel but didn't have time to use. Location wise is good if you drive and several restaurants closeby. We had dinner at a good Italian restaurant reasonably priced.
