We stayed here to visit the Okhotsk Tokkari Center and Azarashi Sea Paradise. Hotel was comfy and clean and the staff were super helpful. It is right next door to the bus terminal which is great.

There is a certain standard of hotels in Japan. Most hotels are 80% the same, in terms of rooms, unit bathroom, breakkfast, checkin / checkout procedures There are a few things, that make a huge difference make this hotel standing out of the crowd. 1) Room Standard room. However daily room cleaning, which is a game changer in a country with huge personnel shortage, where "Eco cleaning" has become the newest fashion (no cleaning in 3 days). This hotel cleans your room every day like in old days. You just need to hang out the tag outside of your door. Returning after a long day to a tidied and clean room is so relaxing ! I do not care if appliances are old or new. The issue is, do they function properly ? In this hotel, everything was functioning well, was easy to find, the bed was very comfortable and the working space and the desk were well proportioned and sized. The only small draw back was, that I only found two charging outlets. 2) Staff Room cleaning personnel is very friendly and flexible. Reception staff was very friendly and pro active. Gave many good advises for sightseeing and dining out as well as for shopping. What made a huge difference here again, was that they hand out taxi vouchers (2 per day) with a value of 600 JPY, which will be deducted from the taxi fare. Last but not least, the front staff allowed me to stay in the room 30 extra minutes passed check in time free of charge to shorten the waiting time to my bus departure to the airport. 3) Breakfast Very clean and spacious dining area at the ground level behind the reception. Despite the fact that there were only 2-3 visitors, the variety and especially the quality of fresh food was amazing ! I chose the option "room only" and was offered buffet breakfast for a very reasonable JPY 1.210, which is excellent value for money. All in all, this was one of my best hotel experiences in Japan, offering excellent value for money.
