Overview
This 4 star hotel is located in Bamburi Beach, 10km from the centre of Mombasa. It features a large lagoon-style outdoor pool and 4 restaurants. The spacious, air-conditioned rooms and suites at Travellers Beach Hotel all include a balcony with Indian Ocean views and some have a four poster bed. Each has an en suite with a bath and a shower. A buffet breakfast is served daily at Shibe Restaurant. Italian and Indian restaurants are also on offer, as well as a thatch-roofed grill restaurant next to the pool. Guests can take diving lessons, try snorkeling, or take a glass-bottom boat tour. There is also a gift shop, laundry services, and children’s activities available. A shuttle service is available to Moi International Airport, which is 23km away.

Excellent breakfast, great location-seafront, good entertainment, great security. we had a small technical problem with our television, problems solved and Bridget went out of her way to support us book a flight back to Nairobi after she overheard me saying I was having difficulties booking sgr train to Nairobi which was full. Polite and helpful staff with Bridget and Juma receiving our 5 star rating for their support.

“Not great value compared to other similar hotels”
Chose to stay at this hotel mostly because of the availability of the gym which looked good in the photos. However, the photos were misleading, as the gym was not available and was under renovation during the period of my stay. The hotel is divided into 2 with a wall in between, and the gate in between gets locked in the evening so the other side becomes not easily accessible. The room was okay, but was disappointed that there was no fridge to store any food/keep cold drinks (which is very helpful in the hot climate!). The food was decent and on par with other similar value hotels. However, I would much more prefer staying at other hotels, such as Severin Sea Resort, which has a gym and also better room facilities (e.g. a fridge).

I stayed at Travellers Beach Hotel with my family of four for a week and we had a wonderful time. The hotel is located on the beautiful Bamburi Beach, with stunning views of the Indian Ocean. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and well-equipped, and some have a four poster bed that adds a touch of romance. The staff were friendly, helpful, and attentive, and they made us feel very welcome. The hotel has four restaurants that offer a variety of cuisines, from local to international. We especially enjoyed the seafood at SuliSuli and the Indian food at Sher-e-Punjab. The breakfast buffet was also delicious and had a lot of options to choose from. The hotel also has two bars that serve drinks and snacks, and we loved relaxing at the beachside Pwani Kofi with live music in the evening. The hotel has a large lagoon-style outdoor pool that is perfect for cooling off and having fun.
