We arrived to the property to find that the hotel was closed, despite our confirmed booking.

Nothing has been writing to you since Wednesday 31st, letting you know to refund my money because makaazi was closed in october without notifying me or booking.com, and my vocation was ruined, reaching hotel gates I was notified by the security guard that it closed in october yet I booked in August and fully paid.

The location was quiet and clean. the rooms are large with very good quality facilities, from the washroom amenities, the size of the television, wifi et cetera. The staff were friendly.

I did not take breakfast because a lot of food was served at tea time during the meeting. Again, I was not aware that the payment that I made through bookin.com did not include breakfast.

A boutique haven of calm from the hustle and bustle of Mombasa and the madding crowds of the nearby resort beach hotels. Small, but well appointed, Makaazi is a tranquil oasis during the week, while the weekend includes a welcome, live band and more visitors to the bar and restaurant. All the staff are exceptionally attentive and helpful, special thanks to Purity and Simon. If you tire of the peaceful garden and pool and relaxed bar, you can easily access the frenetic facilities and beautiful Nyali beach at/through the nearby resort complexes (Voyager is approx 100m away - direct lost taxi drivers to Voyager and then follow the sign to Makaazi). Highly recommended

I loved the meals! I loved the ambiance. Really relaxing and private . The staff, right from the receptionist - Ms Ida Sinzole, made me feel at home. I was warmly received and the hospitality did not wan out at all!

Very pleasant and warm welcome of very nice reception lady! Airport pick up was forgotten, but we got a very generous kind of reimbursement from the kind hotel manager. Good breakfast Big and comfortable rooms.

Spent one night after landing in Mombasa and before moving on to Diani beach. Makaazi was great value for money - the rooms are sizeable and provided all basic necessities. WiFi worked well, check-in and bar staff were extremely kind, and you have facilities such as garden, pool, and restaurant.
