Peaceful cabin in the perfect location, minutes from some great hiking spots in and around the national park. The hosts are so warm and welcoming, you immediately feel at home. We had a lovely dinner and breakfast, all homemade by the hosts. We had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.

Very nice mountain place with amazing views. Food is simple, homemade and tasty, with very generous portions. Meals are shared in a common room which is a great way to meet other travelers. But the highlight of the place is the host who is welcoming, kind and very helpful. She adapts to each guest's needs, from preparing breakfast at the time you want to picking you up to bring you to the Katun. A heads-up if you’re driving: the access road is narrow, steep, and unpaved, so make sure you have a suitable car and try to arrive before dark. Overall, an amazing spot for anyone looking to enjoy the mountains and an authentic experience.

“Highly recommend!”

Where do I even start? The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, their kindness genuinely made the whole experience unforgettable. The only challenging part was the terrain leading up to the property. I was driving a low sports car (Mercedes SLK), and the road was difficult to navigate, especially at night. The staff were amazingly helpful and even drove me up in their own more practical car. If you have a normal small car, you’ll probably be fine, but I’d avoid attempting it in a low or luxury vehicle. I’d also recommend arriving before dark, as visibility can make the route more difficult unless you’re very comfortable driving mountain roads. That said, the stay was absolutely worth it. The place itself is beautiful, the bed was extremely comfortable, and both dinner and breakfast were absolutely delicious, everything was fresh and homemade. The family running the business are some of the kindest people I’ve met while travelling. One of the unexpected highlights was the communal dining area, where I got to meet some wonderful fellow travellers, which made the whole experience even more memorable and fun. I highly recommend this place.

Our stay at Katun Lanista-Kolibe Bogavac was wonderful and we had the most relaxing 2-night stay in the mountains - completely idyllic and highly recommended if you're choosing from the Katun stays on offer in Biogradska. The katun has all been built to with creativity and sensitivity and expertise from local materials and Jovana our host is incredible - keeping everything clean and beautiful throughout the katun, milking the four gorgeous cows am and pm, making the wonderful cheese that we ate in all our amazing meals that she conjures up from produce grown right there - vegetables from the garden, cheese and milk from the cows, eggs from the happy chickens wondering about the place :). The cabins are so comfortable and sweet too, with authentic rugs and cushions - really cosy and beautiful. A+++++

“Wonderful nature stay”

Wonderful location surrounded by nature. There are horses, cows and beautiful flowers around. The bathrooms are very clean and there´s hot water. Comfortable beds in the authentic and clean huts. Food is delicious and homemade. The hosts does everything to make your stay comfortable. Only 1 hours hike to the lake. Wifi works very good.

The location is amazing, the road is a bit challenging but it’s worth the view. The host is really great, the food was very delicious. Would definitely come again. We were in May and it was a big cold in the cabins but extra blankets helped

I had an amazing experience at the Katun : Jovanna welcomes you just like you are family, the meals are excellent and the place is a little heaven in nature.

Jovana and her family and friends welcomed me with open arms into their home. I decided to stay an extra day, rest and spend time with them because of how nice the facilities, people and surroundings were. The food was INCREDIBLE, views stunning, and memories unforgettable. I would highly reccomend Katun Lanista, whether you're passing through, looking for rest, or want somewhere to stay longer and relax in incredible nature.

the staff was very helpful, the location was extremely peaceful and brought me back to nature and rural life. the food was homemade, very local and delicious !

We enjoyed everything on the visit to Kolibe Bogavac, the lovely hike from the lake, the beautiful nature around, animals, Mira's cooking, and hospitality. The natural park is splendid, and the experience of staying in the small family run Kolibe wonderful.

“Charming Katun with really friendly owner”

The location is incredible and the host was very welcoming, taking good care of us and very down to earth. We walked up from the lake which was a pleasant hike and not too onerous. From the katuun we did a nice hike around.

I had a lovely stay at the katun Lanista! The location is fantastic, very peaceful, with beautiful views over the mountains and immediate access to many hiking trails in and around Biogradska Gora national park. Jovana and her family were great hosts, very friendly, accommodating and flexible. I enjoyed a lot all the delicious food with only ingredients from the garden and farm. The cabin was very nice and comfortable too. I wish I stayed longer! Thank you for everything
