“Beautiful location in the mountains and amazing staff.”

We stayed at Sunny Carmelito Deluxe for two weeks during the festive period. As other reviews have mentioned, we recommend hiring a car, as it is a 15 minute drive to Arguineguín, the closest town. We stayed in Apartment three. We liked the open plan design and found the apartment spacious and very clean. The kitchen was very well equipped and ideal for self-catering. The living room was a comfortable place to watch TV and relax, with the blankets adding extra cosiness in the evenings when it got cooler. There was plenty of wardrobe space and the bed was firm which suited us perfectly. Two minor suggestions: a bedside table on both sides of the bed would be useful, and a toaster would also be a welcome addition. Willy was very friendly and attentive and always replied to our messages quickly. We also really enjoyed the complimentary fresh orange and mango smoothie each morning. Having access to laundry facilities during our stay was very helpful. The pool and lounge area were perfect for afternoons when we did not feel like going out. Although the area is quiet you are only a short drive from local amenities. Overall we had a wonderful stay and would happily return. Unfortunately, we experienced issues with the shower. The water often took a long time to run warm and on occasions remained cold, which was disappointing.

Situated in a great location, 15 mins from the nearest town and with fabulous views. The heated pool was a bonus (stayed in January/February). The host (Willy) was amazing, his first contact was to explain where to park and which apartment was for us, he then remained easy to contact. He appeared to genuinely care about our stay which made us feel very special. Ps the wifi is good too!

Willy was the perfect host. Ever attentive with many special touches such as fresh mango juice delivered daily. A really relaxing location but best to have a car to make the most of the dramatic surroundings. It was exceptionally clean with towels for pool as well as bathroom and towelling bathrobes. Good value for money for such a special place to stay.

An authentic experience immersed in nature and on a privately owned finca with mango trees. It's located near the main services of Mogan. Willy is a warm and kind-hearted person. The apartment is spotlessly clean and equipped with everything you might need. The experience stands out for its authenticity compared to the mass tourism of some other destinations. “Lovely relaxing holiday”

The perfect setting in the mountains, we loved that there were just 3 apartments sharing a gorgeous pool area - swimming at night in the dark in the heated pool was so nice! You definitely need a car as you are in the mountains but we chose some days to just stay at the apartment with the pool and totally relax and other days drive to the coast just 15 minutes away. Willy, his mother Anna and brother Michael were always around in the background if you needed anything and often turned up with plates of fresh fruit or smoothies which was really nice! We plan to return there as we've had the must relaxing time!

The apartment was very well equipped (big private kitchen with cook-top, oven, coffee maker, large fridge) and while located alongside a busy road, the walled character of the terrace and pool area make this a perfect little hideaway between the mountains. Willy was very friendly and communicative and brought us fresh juice every morning. The location is fantastic, right in between the tourist beaches of Mogan (20-30 minutes by car) and the mountainous area surrounding Pico de las Nieves (about an hour of driving through stunning scenery)

“Wonderful place”

Willy was a superb host who greeted us when we arrived. There was a bottle of wine and chocolate and water in the room on arrival. He kept asking if there was anything we were missing and he would make sure we got it. There are 3 apartments in the area that share a heated pool. In the pool area, there are comfortable sun loungers with associated tables and parasols and a fantastic view of the mountains. You need a car to get around as the apartment is about 13 minutes from Arguineguin by car. The accommodation has an attached garden where you can pick oranges for fresh juice. Willy provided us with tips on hiking trails and restaurants. The accommodation is modern and well equipped for you to have a pleasant stay. Shared washing machine is available in the area.

Willy is an amazing host from start to finish. He insisted on helping us with the luggage, made our late check out possible and even brought us snacks to the pool. The apartment is spacious with a well equipped kitchen and a nice smart tv. The location is awesome for many hikes and 15min away from Arguineguin.

The location is stunning—nestled among orange and banana gardens, it feels like a peaceful retreat far from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Lounging on the comfortable sunbeds by the heated pool, overlooking the breathtaking mountain views, was the highlight of our stay. The apartment itself is spotless and incredibly well-equipped, with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Having access to a shared washing machine and a private drying rack for each apartment was a great convenience. What truly made our stay unforgettable was the owner. He is the kindest and sweetest host we’ve ever met. He went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, always available to answer questions or provide recommendations. Every morning, we were surprised with fresh juice—such a thoughtful touch! It’s worth noting that the location is a bit remote, so having a car is essential to get around. But if you’re looking to escape the stresses of everyday life, this is the perfect place—sunny, tranquil, and absolutely beautiful. We can’t wait to return next year! Highly recommend this little slice of paradise.

The apartment was very clean, large and had everything we needed. There is a lovely pool area and it is in a beautiful setting among fruit trees and surrounded by mountains. Willy was an exceptional host, providing us with advice and freshly squeezed juice each morning. The region has some hiking trails with spectacular scenery.

The place is really beautiful and you have all you need. Location is amazing, beautiful surroundings and heated pool!;) However the owner, Willy is the true superstar! He brought us freshly squized juice each morning and his positive and vibrant energy is the best! He goes beyond expectations and is always avaiable if you need any tips! Thank you Willy!

Loved our room but not as much as the one I had originally booked. However, when booking I went for the most expensive room with the ‘large double bed’, but when we got there, this room was already occupied. 🥲

It is hard to describe the exceptional service and accommodation that Willy provided. Firstly, the villa, garden and swimming pool were absolutely spotless. Secondly, Willy went above and beyond to make sure my stay was as good as possible, from bringing fresh orange and mango juice to my door each morning, and providing walking and exploring recommendations for each day. Willy also came to pick me up from a nearby town after one of my hikes, so that I did not have to spend money on a taxi. I can't recommend Sunny Carmelito enough; I will be returning for my next visit to Gran Canaria. Thank you Willy, take care and see you soon.

“A slice of paradise”

Willy was the most amazing, generous host. He delivered freshly squeezed juices made from fruit on his farm, the occasional cake, a scrumptious breakfast and plates of freshly cut mangoes( the best we have ever tasted). The property was very stylish, comfortable and spotlessly clean. We arrived quite late so Willy sent us videos showing where to park and how to find our appartment. He also gave us great advice during our stay about exploring the island. Don’t hesitate to book, you won’t be disappointed!
