“An amazing hotel which made us feel at home”

We had such an amazing stay at this wonderful hotel. We found out that they had extended their season past the date of the other hotels in the area, until the day we checked out. This is the reason we ended up being the the only guests and were treated as VIP's. We were also able to charge our EV every night for a small fee which removed any concerns we had about charging the EV. We loved that it was situated in a forested estate with lovely gardens. Every time we drove in we felt a sense of peace.

“A little gem in a secluded location and a very pleasant place to stay indeed.”

The Manoir was situated on a long private drive through beautiful woodland. On arrival we sat in the sumptuous and well groomed gardens, a pleasure after a long drive. We were greeted by Kim who being half French/English made our check-in easy. The Manoir is very traditional and the rooms well apportioned and immaculately furnished.

Every area of the hotel was as perfect as it could be and breakfast was superb.

“Pleasant for a short stay”

There is no restaurant at the hotel, and breakfast is served on a tray to the table. Cooked eggs are available. The breakfast was very good. The room was not large and the toilet was separate to the bathroom, which can be inconvenient. Only french channels on the TV

The staff were attentive and first class, and many spoke good English, which we accepted as a good compliment. Thank you. The location was stunning, and the breakfast was good but expensive compared to other locations we stayed at. Immaculately presented and we loved the great attention to design and detail.

Fabulous hotel. A beautiful location on the grounds of a beautiful mansion. The rooms are very comfortable and clean and the staff are outstanding. Marie gave us the warmest welcome and hear colleague Lazlo looked after us in the evening. We didn't fancy driving anywhere for dinner so he supplied us with a delicious plate of cold cuts, cheese and a delicious salad, all washed down with an excellent bottle of Sancerre. The breakfast was equally delicious. We were very sad to only be staying one night. Top marks.

The Manoir de Kertalg is a Jewel. It is set in over 200 acres of park and forest and only 5 minutes drive from beautiful beaches,creeks and amazing restaurants. The hotel itself is small (in number of rooms ) and it is easy to feel that you are staying in a stunning private home. The decor is classical and the owner, an artist himself, has made sure that every room is decorated to the highest standard. The carpentry is exceptional. The walls are covered in white fabrics made specially so as not to have any seams. The staff are charming and very professional. We will recommend this hotel to our friends with the certitude that they will love staying there as much as we did.
