Overview
La Piccola Locanda is an Art Nouveau villa dating back to the early 20th century and surrounded by large, green Mediterranean gardens. Set in Modica’s commercial district, the guest house offers free parking. Rooms at Piccola Locanda are bright and modern, with lovely views of the gardens. Each comes with satellite television, a minibar and fully equipped private bathroom. Homemade cakes and biscuits feature at breakfast, along with cheeses, cold meats and traditional Modica chocolate. Guests are welcome to use for free the seasonal swimming pool at a sister sports centre, 2 km away. La Piccola Locanda is set in the centre of Modica’s Sorda commercial area, where cafés, shops and pizzerias are just a short walk away. Buses to the city's UNESCO-protected historical centre leave from just outside the property.

Very quiet, cozy and nice place. Around your room you also have access to a small garden with fruit trees, a clean and pleasant area near the house. The staff is super friendly. The breakfast exceeded all expectations (I'm attaching a photo). Compared to other B&Bs I've visited in Sicily, the amenities of this location can be attributed to the rank of a small hotel! The room is clean, comfortable. There is free parking on the territory - which is a big plus on the narrow Sicilian streets)

No kettle in room, kitchen forbidden to use, you need get hot water before 8:00pm, staff will boiling water in kitchen for you, then lock the door. Reception is in another building, anyway just for 1 night.

La Piccola Locanda is situated on a main street and is easily accessible by bus. There is a bus stop a few minutes away that will take you to the centre of the lower, old city. Our room itself was comfortable and quiet. It came equipped with all the essentials. There was great attention to detail. The little things like our welcome gift of local treats was greatly appreciated. All the staff we met were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good with a combination of sweet and savoury items.

We reach there very late at night, and they wait for us to welcome and they do everything very fast and take us to the room.. They are available any time for any help.. On the day we vacate the room, they arrange a taxi to go to the airport and at the same time there is we have a complimentary breakfast and the time is 8.30am to 9.30am. But they arranged those for us early in the morning as per our request. So we enjoyed the hosting a lot with la piccolo locanda.. Highly recommend 👌

“Excellent stay at the La Picolla Locanda”
The hosts were very friendly and helpful. The place is beautiful, well equipped, very clean and in an excellent location. There are many shops and restaurants within walking distance. I could also park my car inside the property. I will definitely go again!
