Beautiful old building in Modica Alta. Wonderful view from the balcony. Comfortable bed. Large bathroom. Cupboards, desk and seating. Quiet. Secure. Free street parking available close by. Good communication with owner.

The owner of Casa Sipione Papa and his family were so full of kindness. The place was so charming and very well located.

Booked this place in upper Modica based on other reviews. Don't hesitate. Parking simple, location and view outstanding, breakfast fresh varied and excellent quality for additional fee to the adjacent Duomo coffee shop. Rooms are work of art embedded in the mountain side, with original stone with all modern features and superb comfy beds, and a beautiful balcony with view over Modica. Paintings are originals by the owners grandmother. In the evening we walked down to the main street for pizza and chocolate! Easy walk back up afterwards. We walked up from the apartment to a sunset viewing point and into the adjacent Duomo. Could use this place as a wonderful base to explore the area more. The owner is rightly proud of his buildings, and he was super kind and attentive re our comfort.

Lovely big room with very well renovated shower. Coffee machine, kettle and small fridge were appreciated. Amazing views from the balcony - however this is shared with the room next door. Breakfast for 5 Euro at the little bar only a few metres away. Free parking on the street (but very narrow street). The host seems to offer his garage to some guests (perhaps those staying longer than one night) and apparently there was parking in a garage nearby for 6 Euro. Great being on the ground floor.

The owners were very welcoming and open for all cultures.

The history & decor was absolutely gorgeous. Also having a sofa to read & enjoy a little espresso on was really nice.

What a find!! Amazing spot at the top of the village which made it a very peaceful location. Loved everything about it. Stunning views, beautiful room and great bathroom. The linen was so luxurious. A real treat. Emanuele was the perfect host. So helpful, friendly and accommodating to us. Would absolutely recommend and would definitely book again. Loved the tortoise! Great location in the old town. Close to a small coffee shop and the beautiful church. Great view from shared terrace and the host let me keep my Motorbike locked up in the garage which was great!
