“Perfect”

We had a wonderful 6-night stay at RNA Guesthouse and truly enjoyed every moment. We were specifically looking for a quiet, laid-back area away from the busy tourist spots like Panagsama Beach or White Beach, and this place was perfect for that. The only noise we heard came from roosters in the neighborhood, which is quite common in Moalboal, so bringing earplugs might be a good idea. The family running the guesthouse was incredibly warm and accommodating. Drinking water (including hot water) was available for free, and breakfast was offered at a very reasonable price. Had we known earlier, we definitely would have taken advantage of it more often. Whenever we needed transportation, the owner quickly arranged a tricycle for us—always fast, convenient, and reliable. You could also rent motorbike through the owner. The room was comfortable and the air conditioning worked perfectly. In front of the rooms, there is a nice common area with sofas, tables and chairs where you can relax, play cards, or enjoy a drink after spending time at Panagsama Beach, which also offers a wide range of restaurants. What stood out the most was the exceptional hospitality. The best we experienced during our time in the Philippines. A 7-Eleven is about a 15–20 minute walk away. We bought drinks there and stored them in the shared fridge, which was accessible at all times and very useful during our stay. Another highlight was the excellent service provided by the owner when organizing tours. Everything was very flexible, we could even one day in advance and choose our preferred time and mode of transport. Being from Switzerland, I really appreciate punctuality, and everything was perfectly on time. We booked two tours through the guesthouse: one to visit the three highest peaks in Cebu by motorbike, and another to Sumilon Island. After comparing prices with other operators, we saved several thousand pesos by booking directly with the owner.

So far the best place I stayed in Cebu. Its owned by a family and they are ALL super nice, funny and caring. I felt at home and they looked after me. The room was super clean, big and confortable. They can rent bike if needed. They have a small bar where you can buy drinks and beer as well as small snacks. I don’t eat breakfast but every morning I got my cup of coffee with them. 10 minutes walk you have JGs grill which is really good and affordable compared to price in the touristic places. It’s 10 minutes walk from the center of Moalboal. It’s a safe and quiet area and I walk there at night by myself. It’s only 10/15 minutes bike to Basdiot which is the extremely touristy area. It’s 20 minutes bike by bike to the white beach. The location is perfect as it’s a quiet area near everything. A special thanks to Vicky!!

The host was wonderful and very helpful and I would highly recommend. A nice breakfast was given for a small cost with coffee.

Rico and his family are great hosts. They offered not only a good room but also helpful advice on where to eat and go, and they rented us almost new scooters in excellent condition. The room was clean, tidy, and spacious, with a brand new, super quiet AC. They provided us with free drinking water, and the common area is equipped with a fridge and a kettle. Restaurants and cafes are in the walking distance.

Great Guesthouse with nice hosts. The location is a little bit outside of town. I definitely recommend getting a scooter because the tuktuks in town usually won't drive for less than 150-200 pesos. The hosts were happy to help us with any problems. They also got us a taxi to cebu for only 2500 pesos which was way less than what we managed to haggle.

Stay there my friend! You hardly find something better! It's all just fine!
