“Not a hotel but not really a hostel either”

The room was aesthetically pleasing and nice with a lovely ensuite. Really comfortable bed. We got our laundry done and dried for an additional price which was good. Location is excellent, it’s walking distance to everything! The common area was quiet and relaxing and they had lots of tourist info and tour packages info. They had board games in the common area.

Hostel is very well maintained and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The location is perfect as it is quiet but a short walk to all popular bars and restaurants.

The room was tastefully decorated and was really clean and comfortable. It was quiet and in a good location.

This isn't your regular hostel! We stayed in the Superior Queen Room and it was so nice, very clean clean and spacious, perfect for a couple! They had a tv with access to netflix other stream services if you wanted a chill day. There was a bar and restaurant with variety of food choices and cocktails! And the location is perfect, very close to the busy panagsama road/beach but tucked away enough that it wasn't a busy/noisy area. The staff were amazing! very friendly and accommodating, couldn't fault them at all! They also offered tours so you didn't have to worry about organising yourself! Other services include laundry, transport (to airport, and within town). We really enjoyed our 4-night stay here and probably the most comfortable hostel we've ever stayed!

“The best hostel in Moalboal”

Absolutely loved my stay at Maayong hostel. I had a bungalow and it was perfect, I loved the outdoor shower, it was extremely well designed. The hostel is a 2 minute walk off the Main Street and is in a great location super close to the beach and all the bars/ restaurants. The hostel has a relaxing and social vibe where you can meet lots of people if you want to or you can chill out on your own. The drinks and food were reasonably priced, breakfast was great and laundry service too! The tours are fab also and I highly recommend booking the kawasan fall with them. Overall a fabulous stay and will definitely return!

We stayed in the bungalows and loved it! Great location but it can still be very quiet! The breakfast is very good and at cheaper prices.

“A great stay in Moalboal”

This place is just great - one of the best hostels in Asia so far. It's tucked away so nice and quiet but just a short walk to the restaurants / shops etc. The dorm is huge with lots of room to store bags. The showers are spacious and have warm water. They organise tours too - I'd recommended the canyoning.

The location was perfect, just off the main street which means it was a bit quieter. The facilities and staff were top notch!

Hi, this was a great stay. They have a system of switching off Ac between 10 am to 5 pm. While I understand it's needed to give rest to the machine, it's uncomfortable during the day. Otherwise it's a very nice stay and staff is very good and helpful. Loved the place and location.

The staff, decor and facilities were far nicer than we expected from a hostel. Can highly recommend the Filipino breakfast

“Great location and nice rooms”

Adored this hostel. The staff were very helpful and friendly and helped with tours. The breakfast choice was great, especially enjoyed the fruit bowls. We stayed in a private room which was a good size, modern and very clean. Hammocks were a nice addition and great communal area. Good location close to the centre so easy to get to restaurants and the beach. Highly recommend this hostel, the best place I stayed in Cebu.

Beautiful hostel, one of the best we have stayed in, we stayed in a bungalow and it was great. The communal outdoor space is so nice. All of the staff were so kind and helpful, also the onsite cafe / restaurant was really good definitely worth trying! In a really good location too

I slept in a dorm. There were curtains around the beds. It was comfy, the bathrooms were great too. The location is perfect! Only a short walking distance to all restaurants and the beach

“Clean, comfortable, quiet and safe - highly recommended for solo female travellers”

Very quiet, clean, safe and comfortable stay. Staff are on hand from 7am - 10pm and very helpful. You can book activities and transport through them and their drivers and guides are very professional and friendly. They also have food and drinks on site. As a solo female traveller I felt very safe - the hostel has a gate, and security at night. The dorm opens into the entry/communal space so staff can always see who is coming and going. I stayed in their 12 person dorm. Beds were comfortable and you get a small and large lockable space. The shared bathroom adjoins and its also very clean. They also have a great shared space to chill with bean bags, hammock. Donate your book! Theres a little bookshelf that could do with a few more titles in English. All the travellers that came through were also very friendly. Theres enough space and it’s set up well to socialise but also have alone time if you prefer. Location is right in the middle of everything but off the main street so it’s quiet. Highly recommend Maayong - thank you team!
