“A Kind Lady in an Old Onsen City Resort”

The lady is really nice and kind. I was quite late for the check in and she waited and even help us open the door. The open-onsen was really cool always like to have a good bath in Japan. The room is old but clean! Like the old tatami smell!

The staff were lovely and welcoming. Room is very spacious and clean. Hotel is in a very quiet area, near the river and close to restaurants and good supermarkets. Traditional style Japanese stay with open air bath/shower and beautiful tatami mats. Simple toast and tea/coffee breakfast was fine.

We had our own private outdoor bathroom, with a wooden bath. That was very nice although the screens around the balcony (for privacy) could have been a bit nicer - it was corrugated sheeting and not very pleasant to look at. The room was clean although too small for 3 people once futon were laid out.

“Lovely inn with traditional room”

The hotel is located next to the Oyodo river which is great for running og walking along. We were welcomed by the friendly staff which made us very welcome. They had a number of written information sheets in English about the hotel and facilities which was great as our Japanese is limited and so was their English. The room was with tatami flooring and futon mattresses. The bathroom was a totally covered outdoor space which although in winter was great. It was chilly to start with but quickly warmed up when you either started the shower or began to fill the bath. The last being a wonderful wooden bath. There was free parking right by the hotel. Although the room was with no meal plan they provided toast and butter/jam for breakfast free of charge together with the complimentary coffee/tea. I would definitely stay at Yurakuan Miyazaki if I came back to town.

Huge room. Have a living area, bedroom and bath room. Very clean and friendly owner always around to great you. The free thick toast bread was so delicious. Will definitely stay here again.

Miyazaki was the last stop on our trip so we could see Aoshima and surrounds and do some souvenir shopping. For Ghibli fans, the Ghibli shop in Aeon Mall Miyazaki has a bigger range than the museum at Mitaka. Yurakuan Miyazaki gave us a family room with a real authentic, Japanese, little bit retro feel. Really kind and thoughtful staff. A little far to walk to stations but taxis were easy to find and cost 1 - 2 thousand yen to get you to a station or the airport. If you're not a big hotel chain kind of family, would recommend 100%.

Friendly reception, easy parking and access to rooms via lift. Nice spacious room with tatami covered floor in the separate living area. Simple breakfast with toaster and kettle. Nice firm bed.
