“Almost, just almost perfect”
For us, the location is definitely one of the highlights – remote, on a small, quiet island. The beach is beautiful with large white sand and clear water, perfect for relaxing and swimming. The staff are friendly and ready to help immediately. Even though some of them don’t speak English, they understand what you're asking and are eager to assist. The breakfast offers a lot of choices, so it’s easy to find something you like to eat. At lunch, we ate the best ramen we've had in Japan at their restaurant – it was absolutely delicious! A tip for travellers: you need a car to get to the resort and move around. There are just a few other restaurants and cafés on the island, but for shopping and more dining options, you’ll need to go to Miyako Island. The resort is like a big village with one hotel (the farthest spot from the beach and restaurant) and many villas. Walking between locations can take about 10-15 minutes. If you cannot walk, there's no problem; they have carts to carry you around. All you have to do is call reception to ask for a cart, and they arrive immediately. There are also regular buses for hotel guests who attend breakfast and dinner. We had a wonderful experience and loved the place. I really hope they take customer feedback into account and address the maintenance and cleanliness issues to justify its luxury price tag.
