“Excellent location on a beautiful island!”

This hotel is in an amazing spot, a few minutes from ferry and another few minutes walk to shops, cafes and restaurants! Staff were very helpful and assisted with luggage storage. Room was basic but was clean with everything we needed. Floors accessible by lift which was great with our luggage. Good value for money and would definitely stay longer if we visit again. Lovely hotel in a wonderful spot in Japan!

“Pleasant Stay. Wonderful Staff.”

Perfect location and wonderful friendly staff who held our luggage until check in. Bedroom section was large with a decent size cupboard and the view was lovely. Quiet stay.

“Great stay on beautiful island”

Short, flat walk to ferry station. Great location on the main promenade. Easy to walk to all the sights. We had mountain view room at top of building on the side and could see the beach and tori gate from the window. Staff very helpful when we were trying to find a restaurant for evening meal.

Hotel is conveniently located to ferry terminal and along shops and restaurant. Hotel service was great, helpful and pleasantly greetings...

Place was just PERFECT.

The location of this hotel is fantastic, just a couple of minutes from the ferry on the waterfront. Staff were absolutely amazing, so friendly. Can't comment on the onsen because I didn't use it

“Perfect Stay”

Perfect location, close to the ferry terminal and all the shops/restaurants. Great value for money. Kind staff, quaint traditional rooms, beautiful view out the window. Some of the local stray cats come and sleep in the lobby at night, so great for cat people like me - they are so cute! Staff will keep your luggage for you after check out, so you can enjoy the town more easily before departure.

“Stunning waterfront views!”

Loved this ryokan, great location and amazing staff. The room we got was a Japanese style with tatami, futon beds and yukatas. It was a great experience! Also used the onsen at 8pm at night it was empty for a while, such a dream! Very close to the ferry terminal, the temple and tori in the sea, and 15 mins walk to the ropeway which we did in the morning at opening (9am - recommended for no queue and stunning views of the island). There's deers everywhere on the island it's so pretty! Thanks Sakuraya for making our stay comfortable and enjoyable!

The staff was kind and nice. The hotel as an onsen inside and the rooms were clean and well equipped. The view from the room was nice and relaxing.

We had 2 rooms - one with a sea view which was fantastic and a single room with a Mountain View which wasn’t . Definitely pay the extra
