- you can’t get any closer to Miyajima! Torii & shrine, ferry terminal, mountain trails are all nearby - our host was very friendly and helpful, she provided us all the info we needed - beds are very confortable - you have the whole house, which is much bigger than any other hotel room

Great location in the center of town. Friendly host, plenty of hot tea that you can drink in the beautiful traditional sitting room. The hot bath was amazing after a day of rain.

The house is great, spacious, well equipped, the owner is extremely helpful and kind. The corridor and the bathroom were a bit coldish, but a heater was provided to up the temperature. The owner gave very good directions to sights and eat out spots. We definitely recommend staying here! Miyajima itself is a wonder!

Warm greeting, lovely spacious home.

Miyajima is an excellent location and the property is well situated on it. Mrs. Nakaya is a very attentive host and gave us pointers to do what we wanted to on the island. The house is at the back of the host's house and is 2 floors. Upstairs is a lovely traditional tatami area with 2 rooms. Downstairs is 2 rooms with beds and a frosted glass sliding door between. Bathroom was serviceable and clean.

Rie our host was most welcoming and accommodating. The accommodation was spacious and the beds most comfortable. We were able to use a lounge and dining area with facilities to heat meals and snacks.

Easy to find location, friendly host. Genuine Japanese home stay close to main attractions but in local neighbourhood which is great!

Nakaya house is a detached house out the back of the hosts house. It was perfect for our family of four. The house is quite large, with four single beds, toilet and bathroom downstairs. Plus an extra toilet and dining room upstairs, where people could also sleep on futons if you have a larger group. It was very traditional and authentically Japanese, and perfectly located one street back from the main shopping village and a quick walk to Itsukushima shrine. The host, Leia, was very helpful and had great advice on what to do and see on the Island. I would highly recommend this spot to anyone. We stayed for four nights and had a wonderful time.

Clean property on island and close to everything. Owner was so polite and easy to deal with.

Very convenient location yet still quiet and peaceful. The guest area was spacious. Having access to a private living room in traditional Japanese style was delightful. Bathroom, WCs and washing areas were great. The owner was helpful, spoke clear English and did everything she could to make our stay comfortable.

Loved everything about our stay here. They host was exceptionally helpful and Miyajima was perfect. The space was huge and so comfortable. Perfect location. Wish we'd stayed for two instead of one night (if in doubt book for two you won't regret it).
