It was well thought out. The bathrooms and bedrooms were beautiful. The design is gorgeous. Big kitchen with clean appliances and well stocked. Lovely lounge area and fast wifi.

“Very nice house with full facilities.”
Location was fantastic and within easy walking distance from the waterfront, the Tori Gate, the temples and the shopping strip. Once the sun goes down, all of the touristy shops close and the island becomes beautifully quiet. Book ahead for restaurants as there are not many open once the tourists go home. The ones that are open are fantastic though! This property is also pet friendly, with supplies provided to help clean up after your pet.

Our stay at Miyajima Shiro was a delightful experience. Nestled in a peaceful area just a short walk from Itsukushima Shrine, the ryokan offered a blend of traditional charm and modern comfort. The rooms were clean, well-equipped, and ideal for relaxing after a day of exploring the island. We especially appreciated the cozy shared spaces that added to the calm atmosphere. The property was great, I really loved the traditional vibe in our tatami room and the facilities were very well kept. Would definitely stay again :)

It was easy to find, instructions for check in were very clear and owners responded promptly to any queries. The kitchen had the basic necessities to cook breakfast and the fridge was big. It was bigger than I had expected.

“Nice views but once is enough for me”
Room was too small and only had 2 beds when I requested for 4 beds. 2 people had to sleep on mattresses on the floor
