“Fantastic traditional one night stay on Miyajima island”

Quiet hotel on Miyajima island. Very happy, helpful staff. The free bus to and from the port was really useful in the evening for a stroll and in the morning when we departed. The balcony overlooking the bay is lovely, it’s so quiet. We watched deer walking to their evening destination! It was great to experience a Kaiseki meal in a traditional setting with Japanese staff.

Stayed there for a night. Everything was nice. Personal was very nice. I appreciate that they made vegetarian meals for me.

The traditional Japanese environment was evident from the moment we alighted from the shuttle bus. The staff were attentive but not intrusive. The traditional KAISEKI dinners and Japanese breakfasts were sublime. The overall attention to detail and the focus on giving the guest an outstanding experience were amazing. The location was a little out of town, which provided a peaceful and relaxing sojourn. However, the frequent shuttle bus service meant that the town was within easy reach at any time during the day.

The dinners and breakfast were a lovely sample of Japanese cuisine. Beautifully cooked and presented. The staff were very helpful.

“An excellent traditional Japanese experience.”

The staff were excellent and the accommodation was great. Even before we arrived they offered to collect our bags and the shuttle service was very helpful. Our room had a stunning view over the bay. The traditional Japanese meals were superb. Many activities, a member of staff even showed us how to make the elusive origami crane.

“An amazing experience on a stunningly beautiful island”

Such an incredible experience, I have never known hotel service like this, staff greeting you by name rather than room number (and remembering you), the food was exceptional. We had an amazing kaiseki meal in the evening and then a plentiful tasty breakfast. It was lovely to see deer outside the window too. After the evening meal we also took up the opportunity for a shuttle to the centre to see the tori gate lit up at night. I've not slept on a futon on tatami mats before but it was surprisingly comfortable A truly magical stay, the like of which i am sure i will never experience elsewhere

All the hotel staff was very, very friendly and helpfull. A really nice experience.

The room and facilities were excellent especially for the price compared to some other traditional hotels. The staff were happy to speak to us in Japanese but also spoke fluent English. I appreciate that the room has a shower and bath in addition to the onsen facilities at the hotel (some Ryokan don't have a shower in the room). Staff were so friendly and made the experience extra special. They also accommodated for me being vegetarian and the food was excellent!

“A pleasant stay with a nice touch of Japanese living.”

The staff were very attentive, facilities good and a lovely Japanese dining experience. Although it is not located in the main area of Miyajima the shuttle bus was always readily available making it easy to go back and forth. They even let us keep our luggage at the hotel and delivered to us at the ferry terminal.

The staff were so lovely and attentive. We don't speak very good japanese but almost all staff could help us in English. Dinner and breakfast were wonderful! The staff were able to take our bags to the hotel for us when we first arrived so we could sight see, and the shuttle bus was very prompt! The traditional japanese room and the onsen were great experiences for us.

Lovely helpful staff, clean big rooms, beautiful dinner. Easy luggage collection from hotel so we could explore with pickup after. Thanks, enjoyed our stay 😊
