“Perfect location with perfect hosts”

What an amazing place. Location is wonderful; really close to both the ferry and the Tori Gate. Plus there is a family onsen. But what makes it so special is the elderly couple who run the place, who are presumably the owners. They are so kind and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. They sort out problems, guide you to the most incredible eateries and just make you feel so welcome.

The two owners were some of the loveliest people we have ever met, super smiley and helpful! Beautiful traditional Japanese room with a lovely lounge area to relax in downstairs. The staff recommended a restaurant a 1-minute walk away, which was the best place that we ate at during our whole time in Japan!

“Lovely and centrally-located hotel”

This quaint hotel was the perfect place to stay for one night on the Island. The owners were very helpful and were able to recommend restaurants.

Very clean rooms. The beds were comfortable. The shower was strong. The location was really good.

“Miyajima homestay”

Although the hotel is dated, it's well maintained by the lovely owners - an elderly couple. Location is great, particularly great for early morning and evening walks to enjoy the view of Itsukushima Shrine and surroundings before the town awakes. Private Family room bath available to soak away the tiredness of exploring the island. Food options aplenty nearby and Miyajima Coffee is a 2 mins stroll to kick off the morning. Good to note that guest are requested to leave their room key at reception when leaving their room to explore for the day andowners appreciate if guest can return by 10pm for the night.

“Very authentic and wonderful place to stay”

It was a very good location and very close to the food market. The staff were very lovely and very helpful :) The room was also a very cozy, traditional Japanese style that we enjoyed.

We had a wonderful stay in the hotel.the staff were super friendly and kind. They put a Smile on our face every time we encountered them. The location was amazing and helped us enjoy the magnificent island the most. The room was perfectly clean and comfortable. The Japanese style room is as featured on the website. The public bath which we could use as a couple was a nice experience. The price is quite fair compared to other places on the island and surprised us by the quality of the place. It is absolutely recommended.

Very authentic Ryokan. I was only there for one night, but it had everything I needed. The staff, an elderly married couple, was SO nice, smiling and helpful. Spoke fine english. If I go back to Miyajima, I'll stay here again for sure.

Fabulous japanese style home-stay. Futon beds were super comfortable and enjoyed spacious lounge area. Close to Tori gate and shrine and all restaurants and shops

We feel lucky we found an affordable hotel in Miyajima. We were right by the center so we could stop by any time. The hosts were very friendly and we felt welcomed. The room was very comfortable, with plenty of space. The bathroom was quite small but clean, so this was not a problem for us. They offered recommendations for nearby restaurants and provided a guide of the island which was very helpful.
