Amazing hosts beautiful home and family the room I stayed in was very traditional and so lovely. They even dropped me off and picked me up as well as giving me lots of information about what to do on Miyajima Island and times 😊

This was a lovely guest house. Ellen and Yo were sooo kind and hospitable and I felt right at home straight away. They offer all sorts of amenities like snacks, drinks and lots of jam. Ellen went out of her way to pick me up and drop me off at the station multiple times and gave me lots of recommendations for what to do on Miyajima and beyond. Thank you!!

The guests of the house make you feel at home instantly, they are super helpful and invite you to make you feel comfortable. The house itself is lovely and has a lot of amenities. The guests will give you a lot of recommendations so you enjoy Hiroshima to the fullest. I highly recommend this place.

“Good location near ferry to Miyajima. Friendly hosts who will take care of you”

Hosts are very hospitable and offered to get me from station and take me there after check-out as it is a little bit over 1km from station. You basically stay with the hosts and other guests and share the same kitchen area and bathroom. It’s in a great location if you are planning to take a ferry to Miyajima island.

“Fantastic place to stop!”

Yo and Ellen are fantastic host, I booked on relatively short notice but they were very accomodating and gave me my own room as a solo traveler. The house is a 20minute walk from the station but Ellen does her best to pick everyone up. The house is a 10minute walk from the ferry terminal to miyajima and easy to access. There is a full kitchen of drinks(alcohol included, tea and coffee. Last Ellen and Yo are very friendly and always happy to share their recommendations and advice!

I spend some of the best days of my Japan trip here. Ellen and Yo make you feel right at home here. Not only do you get all the information you need to make this a most memorable stay but also a feeling of what it is like to live in a Japanese neighborhood. 10/10 would visit again ;)

“Amazing and helpful hosts, totally recommend”

Yo and Ellen were amazing hosts. We only stayed there for one night but she picked us up from the station by car and made us feel really welcome. She told us the best tips on visiting Miyajima and even lend us some walking sticks for a little hike. If you want to stay with a friendly local family I definitely recommend staying there. We would definitely come back :)

Ellen and Yo (hosts) were extremely nice and offered drive from station to the guesthouse as well as from guesthouse to miyajima ferry station, traditional room with futon and tatami were very comfortable

I was greeted by the friendly hosts when I arrived. Their house is located close to Miyajima. They offered pickup service, but I enjoyed the walk from the station they recommended because the view was amazing. Their place is located in a quiet residential area, and I slept so well for the first time in weeks! The hosts recommended enjoying Hiroshima and then spending the next day in Miyajima. They gave me a very detailed plan for both areas, but I was so tired from traveling that I couldn't do everything. I still really enjoyed what I did, but I think their plan would have been perfect. If you message them in advance, I'm sure they can make a perfect plan for every traveler. They even treated me like family! I only wish I could have stayed longer! Thanks again!!

“A home from home run by lovely people.”

I was made to feel so welcome. The lady owner took me to the local supermarket and showed me where the bargains where. I left my wallet at the house and the gentleman brought it down to me. Also they kindly offered to pick me up from the train station. You are treated like part of a family. I only wish I had been able to stay longer.

Yo and Ellen were warm and friendly. They offered me the best plan to enjoy Miyajima and even Hiroshima! If you plan to visit the area, you shouldn't miss this place because they are very knowledgeable and will give you the best local tips to enjoy your stay. They went out of their way to make my stay a little special, and I'm super grateful. I even made a friend with a fellow traveler staying there. :) I think this is a great place for travelers around the world to get together and learn about the local culture and interact with locals. “Great stay and lovely family”

The family is so nice and makes you feel like you're coming home. They gave a lot of information and suggestions. They location is pretty good, it's about 20 minutes walk from the station and it's a pretty steep walk. But Ellen can pick you up or drop off. She's very kind!!

“Great value for low budget”

The hosts Ellen and Yo are wonderful! They really care for their guests. The house is full of warmth and good vibes. It is great to have a chat with the other guests in the living room and exchange experiences. Since the house is on a hill, Ellen drove me several times to the train station. That was really thoughtful and kind, especially if you are carrying some luggage. There is also breakfast for free! ( tea, coffee, toasts, butter and jam). It is great value, so I can recommend it!
