Overview
This historic, 4-star hotel offers a spa with indoor pool, Bavarian cuisine, and easy access to local skiing and hiking routes. It is located in Mittenwald in the Bavarian Alps. Less than 500 metres from Mittenwald Train Station, the family-run Post-Hotel has spacious rooms with country-style décor. Some rooms provide great views of the Karwendel Mountains. Guests can make free use of the Post-Hotel’s Finnish sauna with plunge pool, solarium, infrared sauna, and sunbathing area. Massages can also be booked. Big breakfast buffets are available at the Post-Hotel. Regional and international dishes are served in the traditional-style Bierstube restaurant and pub. Guests can eat on the Rosengarten terrace in warm weather.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help. The room was clean, comfortable, and with beautifull view to the mountains. A special thanks to the team — they helped us find a parking spot, which made our arrival much easier. They also recommended a great restaurant nearby where we enjoyed a delicious dinner. Their local knowledge and willingness to assist really made a difference. Overall, we had a very pleasant experience and would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended for anyone looking for comfort, great service, and a warm atmosphere!

The location, only a five minute walk from the station is great. The bedroom was spacious and immaculately clean. The staff were just superb - every one of them were incredibly helpful from the moment we arrived. The pool and spa were so good and just what you need after a long day walking in the mountains.

Perfect location in a very cosy village. Post-Hotel is a typically resort hotel, Bavarian style. Extra plus for the spa included. Generous and friendly atmosphere:)

I came here during Christmas, and I have one of my best Christmas experience in Germany. The view is amazing, the room is extremely comfortable, and staff are all patient and friendly. The Christmas dinner is really impressive, the vibe is great and the food are delicious. If I ever visit Mittenwald again, I will definitely book this hotel.
