Overview
This charming guest house is located in the town of Mittenwald, a 15-minute drive from Elmau Castle. It offers traditional rooms, a restaurant with entertainment and an outdoor café. The Alpenrose dates from the 13th century and features a Medieval-style façade. All rooms at the Alpenrose feature cable TV and a private bathroom with shower. The Alpenrose restaurant serves international and Bavarian specialities. Traditional music evenings are held here regularly. The nearby Karwendelbahn Cable Car takes guests to the top of the Karwendel Mountains. In winter, there is a local bus to nearby ski resorts. Garmisch-Partenkirchen is a 20-minute drive away. The Alpenrose in Mittenwald offers free parking. It is 2 km from the Austrian border and a 35-minute drive from the city of Innsbruck.

The hotel has a large outdoor seating area for eating, drinking and listening to the local music at the hotel, and the bedrooms are comfortable in a traditional style. They had a wide range of traditional Bavarian food at dinner and at breakfast.

Fantastic location and atmosphere. Excellent food and vibe: worth along visiting even without staying. Great, plentiful and efficient breakfast, restaurant is spotless with fresh table linens, friendly staff. Live music in the evening. We will be back!

“Wonderful Accomodation”
The friendliness of the staff was outstanding. We felt so welcome and valued. The room was lovely and comfortable and clean. The restaurant was excellent with delicious food and excellent service. The location was perfect with free parking right in the centre of this wonderful little German town.

“Beautiful location to spend a night or two while travelling. Highly recommend !!!”
Breakfast was great. Mix of hot and cold foods with coffee and juice. Only charge $5 euro. Most of the staff were able to speak English which helped use as we were travelling from Australia.

“Welcoming hotel in centre of Mittenwald.”
Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Included breakfast was superb. Evening meals in the restaurant were also superb and service very swift. Situation is right in the centre of Mittenwald with plenty going on. Garage for our motorcycle was excellent.
