An extraordinary place in the middle of old Misfah. Very authentic and quaint. Large amounts of good food and coffee. It was also really interesting to learn the history of the place during the local museum tour guided by the owner. The vast efforts put by him and his team into preserving, restoring, and reviving the historical center are truly astonishing.

“Amazing views, peaceful stay”

The hotel room was comfortable and clean. There was a fridge and tea and coffee making facilities. The breakfast and dinner were amazing in terms of quality and variety. Lots of healthy options and they also cater for vegan/vegetarians. The best part was our tour of the museum - Abdullah’s grandfather’s house with Abdullah (the owner) himself. Do not skip this!!

“The perfect peaceful break in Misfah”

Don’t miss this amazing place when visiting Misfah, ideally placed, you’ll have the best view on the valley. The room was great, food was very good as well. Be careful, you’ll have to walk to get in the village, there’s quite a few stairs. Avoid bringing your entire suitcase.

Amazing story and tour over a museum by the owner, we appreciated welcoming atmosphere and great location. We were with kids and climbing up to our room was not always easy)

“Hidden gem”

A true hidden gem in Misfah. Staying here was a unique and unforgettable experience in one of the oldest villages in Oman. What we appreciated most was how beautifully they have preserved the village’s authentic character while thoughtfully creating a welcoming space for visitors. So often, places lose their identity when adapting to tourism, but that is absolutely not the case here. The accommodation allows you to experience the true spirit and humanity of the village while enjoying comfort and warm hospitality. The owners were incredibly supportive and kind, helping us plan our trips to Jebel Shams and organizing our return to Nizwa, which made our journey smooth and convenient. If you are looking for an authentic and meaningful stay in Oman, this is the place to be.

“Very nice guesthouse in beautiful Misfat”

Everyone working at the guest house was lovely and helpful, even with carrying our luggage, and Abdullah the manager was super helfpul and responsive! The views from the different terraces are amazing and there are lots of seats in the communal areas to take them in. The food both for dinner and breakfast is also really nice and quite varied, lots of starters/salads/fruits etc.

Stunning property in the heart of the village. Views were panoramic from our room. Staff were polite, kind and very knowledgeable about the area. The museum tour was an added bonus!

The owner Mr. Abdullah is hospitable and caring. We had the opportunity to participate in a tour where he talked about the history of the village and its preservation. Surrounding is beautiful. Rooms are authentically decorated, clean and comfortable. Wi fi is fast.

“Fantastic cultural experience”

We absolutely loved our stay at Al Misfah. The facility is run my Mr Abdullah and his brother, who are extremely proud of their heritage and history. The rooms were fantastic and literally took us back in time. The house next door has been converted to a museum and showcases the way of living in Misfah from the past - tour delivered by Mr Abdullah again. We enjoyed the opportunity to get into traditional Omani clothes and take pictures. The breakfast and dinner is of good quality - traditional and showcases local produce, e.g. honey, date syrup, etc. The same products are available for sale in the next door gift shop at reasonable prices. Although the village consists of narrow walkways, everyone in the hotel was willing to help with luggage’s and anything that we needed. Thank you again, for the fantastic Omani experience.

The location is really nice and feels authentic with a great view over the surrounding landscape. Breakfast and Dinner are local foods and super delicious, the buffet is served at the Roof terrace. Everyone was very kind and helpful and the Tour through the Family Museum was interesting. We would definitly recommend staying here if one wants to experience an authentic stay near Jebel shams.

Misfah Al Abriyyin is a place suspended in time. The property has very spacious and charming rooms. Dinner is traditional and plentiful, served on a beautiful terrace overlooking the palm grove. Recommended.

One of our favourite stops during our 3 weeks in Oman. A stay here is an experience - from the internal decorations, the rooftop terrace, and the helpfulness of Abdullah and his staff. We appreciated the free family museum trip to the owners grandfathers house; and the DBB experience meant that after a busy day you were under no pressure and could relax. Reasonably good food and more authenically Omani than in other small hotels we stayed in during our trip.

Owner is a very kind man. The museum tour was very good.
