Simple Place is truly magical! My family (wife and two small children) and I had a ground floor apartment. It doesn't have a kitchen, but otherwise has everything needed for daily needs. The bathroom is spacious and modern. Particularly noteworthy is the warm light color of the lamps, which can also be dimmed for a cozy atmosphere. This is rather rare in Sri Lanka. The king-size beds are huge and comfortable. The outdoor area with the beach virtually right outside the door is an absolute highlight! Everything is insanely lovingly designed and in the evening discreetly and very atmospherically illuminated. The beach was a bit wild during our stay for swimming, but very beautiful. The sound of the sea was quite wonderful. Simple Place is also well located. To Mirissa or to Matara it is only a few minutes by tuk tuk. The icing on the cake are the hosts Nalin and Chamila with their adorable children! It is an indescribably loving family. We could turn to them for all our questions and needs. Nalin explored the area with us and their children borrowed toys for our children. They even offered us fresh coconuts regularly. It was not an average host-guest relationship, but rather friendship. We thank the warm family for this unforgettable vacation in beautiful Simple Place! Please stay as you are. Hope to see you again soon! :-)

“Amazing place”

The whole place is great, the room, the garden and the beach are just perfect. Quiet, nicely arranged and comfortable. Big, delicious breakfasts. Amazing friendly hosts. Clean, big room with furniture and fridge. Location is ok, there are some shops and a restaurant nearby, but to have some selection you need to go to the Mirissa center ~10minutes with tuk tuk. Beach has pretty rough waves, but you can find some relatively calm parts of the beach that allow swimming. All in all great place to relax, slow down and focus on beautiful surroundings. Once getting here after few weeks jumping around Sri Lanka we've extended our stay as long as our flight back home permitted us.

We was staying here with two babies. Was really comfortable, because there is a ground flour and realy big windows. In the evening you can spend time in garden and see sleeping kids. Also the owners were so helpful. They helped us with planing tours to safari and blue whales watching. Also we order here breakfast and dinner. The food was delicious and fresh. Mirissa city centre not far, just 5 minutes with tuc tuc (price 2 euros). In beach really big waves, so its good for surfing. if you want to swim you need to go about 10 minutes. We recomend this place.

If you like to stay in very local place with real familiy it is the best place. The owners was super kind and my kids played all time with their kids. There is also good swimming beach 2 min walk from the place. The owners cooked as nice dinner and the daal we had one morning was the best daal I ever had (and I had a lot of them:)).

“Great place right by the ocean where you can relax and rest”

The house is located right by the ocean, with its own cozy courtyard with many gazebos, hammocks and beach chairs. The yard has its own entrance and goes straight to the ocean, so you can relax and enjoy the ocean view. In the courtyard is always clean, the owners are unobtrusive, what we like, but with it are always ready to help on any issue. We often bought fish and prawns, the hostess perfectly and deliciously prepares food. 300 meters to the right on the beach is a quiet beautiful lagoon without waves, where you can swim. Within walking distance shops and fish market, close to a large supermarket. The room is cozy and clean, comfortable bed, there is hot water, all you need to relax. From the room you can see the ocean. There are many plants and greens in the yard, many different birds. Sometimes different animals come to visit, palm squirrels, peacocks, lizards, frogs etc. This is a beautiful quiet place, we will definitely come here yet
