“Purple Villa is the best🤍”

If you’re staying in Mirissa I highly advise staying at Purple Villa. It’s in a great location in Mirissa, only a 10 minute walk away from the supermarkets, shops and restaurants. The beds are really big, and it comes with your own private bathroom and kitchen. In the living area there is a designated fridge for your room so you can keep all your food cold. The host Ganga really made this stay even more enjoyable, she is the most caring and helpful lady, if we needed any help or had any problems she would give her all to help us. There’s a fan villa room and an AC villa room - I’d advise going for the AC villa as the Sri Lankan heat is no joke🤣 The host also has a washing machine service, so I’d advise doing your washing at the villa. On our last evening she even cooked us a meal which was delicious… Ganga you need to open a restaurant in your villa your food is to die for! The property is so clean and spacious! Such a great place to stay!

“Lovely place with all necessities hosted by the sweetest family”

The amazing, beautiful family that hosted us. We felt right at home, taken in as family. Anything we needed or asked for was arranged soon. The room was very comfortable, clean and a nice view from the balcony and bathroom. Comfortable big beds with mosquito nets, what else could we ask for. Last but not least: the possibility to cook our own food in the cute kitchen. All and all: great experience, great value for money and above all: great to experience and be taken care of by this beautiful Sri Lankan family. Much love felt!

Purple Villa was the best place to arrive in Sri Lanka. Ganga is a lovely host who truly cares about the well-being of her guests. The house is located at the end of a small road lined with family homes. It’s about 10 minutes walking distance from the main beach in Mirissa, and I really preferred this location over the crowded area. From the terrace, you have a beautiful view over a lush green patch of nature. Next to it, there is a little pond where I always saw turtles and monitor lizards lying in the sun. The rooms are comfortable, and the small kitchen has everything you need to prepare your own meals. All in all, I’m so thankful to Ganga and her family for making my stay unforgettable. I’m looking forward to coming back.

The Villa exceeded my expectations. The owner was always very kind. I would have stayed More nights if i hadnt already plans. I asked the owner about a Buddhist temple and even though i had already checked out, she kept my luggage at the house and accompanied me to a near temple. I met the head Monk, who prepared tea for me, showed me ancient books from the temple, and explained a bit about the temple in his languaje. It was an incredible experience and im very grateful.

The hostess made delicious coconut pancakes for us. She was incredibly kind and made us feel very welcome. The place was cozy, clean, and had everything we needed. Definitely a place we would recommend to others!

We had an amazing experience staying at Purple Villa in Sri Lanka! The villa features two spacious bedrooms with large, comfortable beds and a big living room that’s perfect for relaxing. There’s also a fully equipped kitchen which was very convenient for preparing meals. One of the highlights was the balcony with its stunning view of the jungle—it was so peaceful and beautiful! The hosts were incredibly hospitable and friendly, always ready to assist with any request. The hostess is an excellent cook who prepared delicious Sri Lankan dishes for us at a very reasonable price. Additionally, the laundry service offered by the hosts was affordable and efficient which made our stay even more comfortable. We loved everything about this place and will definitely book it again if we return to Mirissa.

My stay in this beautiful villa was an unforgettable experience. Ganga and her family are the most loving and caring hosts I've ever met. From the moment I arrived, they made sure I had everything I needed and went above and beyond to make my stay perfect. Sometimes, Ganga would even surprise me with delicious snacks, including the best coconut pancakes I've ever tasted! The villa itself is a haven close to nature, offering peace and tranquility. It has two spacious, comfortable rooms and a stunning balcony where you can relax and soak in the surroundings, including the most amazing wildlife. Everything I needed was provided, making it feel like a home away from home. The warmth and kindness of Ganga and her family made my stay so special. If you're looking for a place to recharge and connect with nature, I cannot recommend this villa enough. I had an amazing time and left with a heart full of love and gratitude, I would stay here again and again. Thank you so much! ❤️

The family that owns the place is amazing! They are very nice and kindly people, who helped us with everything and answered all questions. The food they prepared was delicious. Rooms were nice and clean. I highly recommend staying in this villa.

the best hosts! they were more than hosts - felt like a family! We spent 18 nights in this villa, and I can say certainly that it was the best stay from many I’ve had in my life! villa is simple but quite decent and clean, it is surrounded by lush greenery and different animals which makes it a unique experience. Place is suitable for remote workers, just bear in mind that network connection in Mirissa is not always stable and it is not related to WiFi modem that Villa provides, but Ganga will do her best to help you. Generally, Ganga and her husband will go beyond and above to make your stay pleasant, they often brought us treats, snacks, food, you can also order food from Ganga, it is delicious! thanks a lot for everything, we love you, Ganga, Naleen and Nidu ❤️ Xx Fifi and Kate

Everything. Can only repeat what other reviews have said: large clean rooms, quiet location. We had everything we needed. Ganja and family are lovely hosts, and Ganja makes gorgeous pancakes too.🙏

Wonderful, quiet and cozy house. Hospitable family❤️‍🔥 Lots of space, two separate rooms (one with air conditioning), very comfortable! When you work remotely. Very fast internet!!! Hot water. What else do you need for happiness?) A balcony where it’s nice to have breakfast. Ganga often treated us to pancakes and curry! We stayed for a whole month and want to stay even longer. If you want to live as authentically as possible and you like living close to the jungle (with all the ensuing consequences), then choose this house. But if you need European service and the absence of fauna, then it’s better to go to a hotel. Because the villa is very homely. The beach, cafes, shops can be reached on foot. The location is convenient. The hostess resolves any issues very quickly! You can order breakfast and water, which is also very convenient! we were very happy in this house ❤️‍🔥

This is a wonderful place and a wonderful family! Ganga and Nalin are super caring hosts! We felt at home here. Ganga treated us to Sri Lankan cuisine and interesting stories from her life. Nalin helped me rent a scooter and taught me how to ride it. They brought us a heavy bottle of water from the store and we didn't have to worry about water. They were always ready to help us. This home will especially appeal to you if you want to live in peace and quiet amidst the wild nature of the Sri Lankan countryside. This beach can be reached on foot. There are rice fields nearby and mantras can be heard from the temple. Very authentic and very cozy 😊Please, if you prefer all inclusive, don't come here. If you want real life among wonderful, kind people in a picturesque setting, go to Nalin and Ganga's house.

I spent three nights here. The cordial host family lives in the lower part of the villa. They fulfill every wish, is extremely helpful, always available and does everything possible to make your stay as pleasant as possible. There is a bedroom with air conditioning and an incredibly beautiful view of a palm landscape. There is another bedroom and in the entrance area there is a sofa and a wardrobe. You are provided with everything: waterkettle, hot plate, clothes rack and super fast internet. The location is absolutely quiet. You look at mango trees and palm trees and can watch squirrel and monkeys. You can walk into town or take a tuktuk for little money. The villa is an oasis of calm and I didn't miss anything. From the bottom of my heart I would like to thank Ganga and her magical little family.
