The host is very responsive, accommodating and kind. Breakfast was delicious and was made for the time you require. The value for money is insane! Water and other things available to buy at the property. Walk into Mirissa is around 25 minutes, there is a bus stop right next to the stay.

The location ticked all my boxes! Closed enough to both Mirissa and Weligama I was able to experience both in just 3 nights including parrot hill and coconut hill. The host are incredibly polite and suggested us the most amazing buffet restaurant and very cheap. I loved the house and the garden a true Sri Lankan home stay. We had such a wonderful stay at this homestay in Mirissa! The breakfast was absolutely delicious – fresh, generous, and prepared with so much care. It was the perfect way to start each day. The location is beautiful and peaceful, surrounded by nature, yet incredibly convenient – only a 3-minute drive to either Mirissa or Weligama, which made it easy to explore both areas while still enjoying quiet and relaxation. The hosts were truly amazing – warm, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything we needed. Their children were absolutely adorable and made our stay even more special with their smiles and positive energy. We originally booked for just 2 nights, but we loved it so much that we extended our stay to 4 nights. That says it all! Highly recommended for anyone looking for a comfortable, peaceful, and authentic stay in the Mirissa area.

Finally it felt like landing in a true Shrilankan family three generation. The place is clean and very essential. The wife or grandmother cooks the most exquisite curry and rice for very little and the included breakfast is whatever one wants to be ordered the night before. They always come and enquire at night. I only ate fruit in the morning with hot water but other guests had pancakes and bread and all sorts of goodies. You can sit by yourself or share the big long table with other guests, great for solo travellers. I saw squirrels and they own a little pussycat super cute. At the back of the canopy there is basically forest. Very charming

The accommodation was wonderful, we have nothing to complain about. The hosts were very helpful and hospitable, communication was easy and very nice. The food was also very tasty. Thank you very much and we are happy to recommend it to everyone.

I stayed at Dillenia canopy for two nights and had such a lovely stay. The room was big, the bed comfortable and had lots of space so I was able to spread out all my things. I was also served delicious breakfast each morning, ideal for setting me up for the day. I was able to walk into the main town and the beach within 30 minutes too, so it was an ideal location. The host family were so sweet, welcoming and accommodating who really went out of their way to make sure I had a comfortable stay. I would highly recommend staying here.

The house is close to the Polwathumodara Railway station (10min walk), to Mirissa beach and Weligama beach (5min tuktuk ride or bus). It’s situated in a quiet area, so you won't be disturbed by parties like in the city-centers. The room is on the ground floor, clean and spacious, the bed is very large and comfortable, with clean sheets. Plugs by the bed (2 types : round and rectangular). Not USB. There is a hanger for your clothes as well as a small table. Big fan working well. Windows with bars and a thin curtain so you can let them open at night to get some fresh air. The private bathroom is spacious as well, with new equipments and very clean. Water is cold, but after a day of walking around or tanning at the beach and sweating, you'll truly enjoy that cold shower ! Bath towel provided. Access to communal spaces : a large sheltered terrace with two tables where you'll take your breakfast and maybe dinner. Breakfast was delicious and very generous. They adapt if you're a vegetarian. I tried the dinner as well and it was amazing, very tasty, also very generous. Everything is homemade, traditional sri-lankan food, and she truly is a great cook ! The family was adorable, available and always ready to help and provide advices and tips. They can also arrange renting bikes or organizing excursions with discount prices. It was a nice, comfortable, quiet, and clean place with a great location. The staff were friendly, kind, and helpful. I had a private room with air conditioning. The breakfast was good. There was an en-suite bathroom with hot water, and they also provided a towel and soap. The bed had clean sheets. I arrived early in the morning and was warmly welcomed. The location of the hostel is very convenient — it's right by the main road and close to the bus station, which is a big plus.

WONDERFUL!!! I’ve been traveling around Asia for 8 months, and this guesthouse is definitely in my top 3. The owners are awesome, super attentive to everything, and they make sure you have everything you need. You can join their tours at local prices and eat fish they cook themselves. It’s a place that really gave me peace and calm. The free breakfast in the morning is special!!! I’ll definitely be back!!! You guys are amazing! Thanks so much!!
