The place is exceptionally neat, clean, and well-maintained, with a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. The location is excellent—just a short walk from the beach, making it very convenient for enjoying the shoreline and local attractions. The breakfast was delicious and thoughtfully prepared. What truly made our stay special was the owner. He is a very humble, friendly, and caring person who goes above and beyond to make guests comfortable. He also provided excellent local travel advice and recommendations, which greatly enhanced our trip. If you are looking for a comfortable, family-friendly place with a warm and welcoming environment, this is the perfect choice. We strongly recommend this property and would gladly stay here again. Great place, not long to the beach, the owner and his family are super friendly and we had great breakfasts here. We even could park our tuktuk during our stay. Great accommodation, can absolutely recommend!

“Beautiful and quiet gem of a place”

What an absolute gem of a place - tucked away down the quieter end of Mirissa but a few minutes walk to the fabulous beach. Set in a beautiful courtyard the facilities were excellent. We have been cycling through Sri Lanka and stayed in many guesthouses - this is definitely the cleanest and nicest we stayed in. The bedroom was lovely - the fourposter bed very luxurious! The family who run Brave Resort were incredibly kind and thoughtful, providing us with breakfast very early in the morning before we set off on our next ride. I couldn't recommend it more highly. Honestly wished we'd had a few more days there. Well come back!

“Cozy stay near the beach in Mirissa with great breakfast”

Great accomodation only short 5-minute walk from beach in Mirissa, which offers many restaurants with sunbeds, nice beach and clear waters. City with a lot of restaurants is also only 10 minute walk from the apartment. Accomodation itself is on 1st floor and very spacey with everything you need inside (mosquito net, good AC, etc.). Host was also very nice and friendly and made us the best breakfast everyday (with freshly squeezed juice/smoothie). All in all a great value for the money and we would love to return here.

Super clean, spacious, and the kindest host ever.

We stayed one night at the place. We arrived very late at night from the airport and Randana was waiting for us outside the place. The room is clean and in an excellent location. The best thing is Randana's excellent hospitality. He drove us for two days to interesting places and recommended a lot to us. Randana speaks good English. Highly recommended.

“Amazing stay, hosts were beautiful and would definitely stay again”

The host was amazing. Being in low period, we were only ones staying at Brave Resort, so got to pick our room for same price as the room we booked. Breakfast was very delicious, traditional Sri Lankan breakfast. Location was good, in quiet part, however a 5-10 minute walk into Main Street and to beach.

Great guesthouse, close to many restaurants and lovely beaches! The beds are comfortable, the rooms are spacious and clean. The owners are a very sweet family, always ready to help or have a chat. We made great memories. Thank you so much!

“Authentic Sri Lankan Hospitality at Brave Resort Mirissa0”

We stayed at Brave Resort for two days and had a wonderful experience. The resort is conveniently located just a 6-minute walk from Mirissa Beach and about 11 minutes from Secret Beach. However, we do not recommend Secret Beach, as it is very rocky with strong waves. Many visitors, including us, ended up with scratches on our legs and backs—it’s quite dangerous for swimming. The owner of the resort was incredibly kind and lives on-site with his family. His wife prepared a delicious breakfast for us every morning, which we really enjoyed. The rooms were clean and comfortable, making our stay very pleasant. One of the great advantages is that the owner also has a tuk-tuk and can take you wherever you need to go. He was always friendly and helpful. I highly recommend staying in a smaller resort like this rather than a big hotel. It gives you a more authentic Sri Lankan experience, allowing you to try homemade local cuisine and connect with the people, their culture, and their way of life. If you're looking for a cozy and welcoming place in Mirissa, Brave Resort is a great choice.

Host is super super friendly. We had a lovely stay. Extra requirements for breakfast considered :) Location ist very good. All beaches are nearby. One of the cleanest accomandations we found in Sri Lanka.

The accommodation is owned by a nice family who are very helpful. Everything was really clean. Excellent rich breakfast. We will definitely recommend the accommodation to everyone!

A very good accommodation with a friendly owner who helped us arrange the whalewatching trip and drove us to the port early enough so that we had the best seats on the boat. Beakfast was delicious and on the day of the boat trip they made package breakfast for us to bring along. The rooms have balconies, AC and a well functioning bathrooms.

Very clean … more or less western style accomodation. Location is calm though only 3 min walk from the beach. Owners are very nice and helpful. Definitely do recommend!

“An amazing stay - would 100% recommend!”

Rangana and his wife are incredible hosts and we would 100% stay here again! We stayed for 3 weeks and we’re so happy we chose their home. It was very comfortable and clean, and we felt so cared for. Rangana was there to answer all of our questions, teach us about his culture, and always help us figure out where/what to do! The breakfasts were delicious and so different every day - his wife is an amazing cook. Rangana was so thoughtful and would repeat things that he knew we liked while also surprising us often with fun new things - teas, fruits, cakes, etc. The neighborhood is pretty quiet, but a short walk to the beach, many restaurants, coffee, stores, etc. There is also a mini mart just down the street that we stopped at daily. We will definitely stay here again when we come back to Mirissa!
