“Perfect”

What a beautiful place, everything was perfect. We were welcomed so kindly by Prasad! We were given great recommendations by him also on places to see in Mirissa. We were also extremely grateful as we visited over the Sri Lankan new year and we noticed how gracefully Prasad managed a time which is spent visiting family whilst also ensuring we were well looked after, we thank you for this and wish you and your family a beautiful new year. Finally, it can’t got without mentioning THE BREAKFAST! What a beautiful spread! A typical Sri Lankan breakfast each morning that was all homemade and absolutely delicious, we ‘rolled’ away from the table wishing we could have more of our tummy’s didn’t feel like they’d burst. I’ll be dreaming of these breakfasts for a while! Thank you

“Incredible”

Our stay at Bon Accord Guesthouse (Mirissa) was absolutely outstanding. Without a doubt, the best hospitality we experienced during our entire trip in Sri Lanka. Prasad and his partner are an incredibly kind and welcoming couple. From the very beginning, they made us feel at home. We were welcomed with cold towels (perfect after the heat) and given a full introduction with recommendations on where to eat and what to visit. They truly went above and beyond to help us with everything: organizing our whale watching tour, driving us so we could arrive first and get the best seats, helping us exchange money, and arranging our taxi. Every detail was taken care of with genuine care and attention. The room was very comfortable, with air conditioning, fans and even a fridge, which was a great extra. Everything was clean and well maintained. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, one of the best we had during our trip. The location is perfect — just a 2-minute walk to Mirissa Beach and close to places like Parrot Rock and Coconut Tree Hill. Overall, an amazing stay. “Our best stay in Sri Lanka”

I honestly don't even know where to begin! Everything about this stay exceeded our expectations. Firstly the place is in an amazing location. Close to shops, restaurants, 5mins walk from the beach and the port, and walking distance to famous tourist attractions like parrot rock and coconut tree hill. Secondly, the host is absolutely amazing, and the hospitality was unmatchable. We were provided with beach towels, a list of recommended places to visit, there's flashlights for the evening if needed, umbrellas in case it rained and he explained to us what we should be careful about. He offered us cold towels to cool down when we got back from the whale watching as well as tea/coffee. He gave my wife flowers to put in her head during the day and a flower tiara before we went out for dinner. And the breakfast was amazing! It was proper Sri Lankan breakfast and it was so delicious!! As for the actual room, it was great. There was AC and Fan, mosquito net, every plug had an international adapter, the room was great, bathroom was very nice with warm water, the bed was comfortable and our room also has a nice balcony. I want to go back to Mirissa again just to stay in Bon Accord again. Thank you so much for everything Prasad!

The hotel’s super close to the beach. The rooms get cleaned every day. Even though I told them it wasn’t necessary, they asked me to check, and when I came back, my room had been cleaned again—it made me really happy. Breakfast was amazing, full of local dishes, and the staff even explained how to eat everything, which really shows how much they care. They also gave us tons of tips about things to do around here, which made our trip so much easier. If I come back, I’ll definitely stay at this hotel again.

“The best place to stay in Mirissa”

Totally fab stay in Mirissa. Prasad was a top-class host and arranged our whale watching tour and even took us there in the early hours of the morning to ensure we got the best seats/ experience possible. We loved learning about the changes in the local area from the experience of someone who grew up in a very different era of Mirissa. The room is exceptionally clean and comfortable. We felt part of the family and were fed extremely well at breakfast.

Wonderful location, spotlessly clean and lovely decor. Excellent host providing welcome drink along with information about how best to get around and what places to see and recommendations for restaurants - you’ll only need an evening meal though as Prasard personally prepares the most amazing and more than ample breakfasts … they are an experience not to be missed :)

“Cannot be bettered.”

There is little I can add to all the previous reviews. This place really is exceptional! The host is such a lovely man who makes it his business to look after everyone and anticipate what anyone could possibly need. The room was spotlessly clean the bed was comfy. The frozen flannels were genius and the breakfast was magnificent. It’s literally 2 minutes walk to the beach and there are plenty of restaurants and bars on the same road. Utterly faultless. 😁

“a great holiday in a wonderful place”

The hotel is located close to Mirissa's main beach. It's clean, tidy, and cozy. The room has everything you need for a stay; we were even given towels and a beach bag, which was a nice touch! Prasad, the owner, is an incredible person, very friendly and courteous. He prepared new dishes for breakfast for us every day, and at the check-in he gave us a leaflet with all the sights of Mirissa. In addition to the room, we also had umbrellas, flashlights, and a shared refrigerator. I've never seen such care for guests anywhere! I wish this hotel prosperity and will definitely return!

“The best homestay we have ever been to.”

This accommodation was recommended to us by friends who were very enthusiastic about it and convinced us with their enthusiasm. So we decided to book and spent three nights there. What we experienced was not just simple accommodation. It was a mixture of hospitality, warmth and gratitude. Prasad told us about Sri Lankan country and history, prepared us a typical Sri Lankan breakfast, typical dishes that we hadn't tried after 10 days in Sri Lanka, took us to an ethical whale watching organisation in the morning, helped us with all our questions and gave us really good tips. The house is really well maintained and we would give it 100 points for cleanliness. We have never felt so welcomed with open arms and hearts as we did in this house. Thank you for everything, we had a wonderful time in Mirissa. Thank you to Prasad and his friend for making this time so wonderful.

Room was very clean and close to the beaches. Host was very kind, booked the whale trip and transportation for us. He allowed us to use the bathroom & store the luggage before & after the check-in/out hours. He provided information on the nearby beaches & recommended restaurants, which were very good.

“Wonderful stay!”

Lovely big room, extremely clean on arrival and cleaned every day. The room had all the things to make it a comfortable stay like hot water, air con, clean towels and bedding, cold water, a safe and even nice touches like a fresh flowers. Our host was especially part of the womderful experience and couldn't have been any more accommodating. He has a beautiful home.

Prasad is an exceptional host & really makes you feel like a very special guest in his beautiful home. He provides absolutely everything you need & is attentive to everyone’s needs. The breakfast is incredible & is different everyday. My room & everywhere I saw was spotlessly clean with beautiful pictures of Prasads family & history. Prasad goes above & beyond to ensure his guests needs are met. He even got up at 02.45 to carry my bag downstairs, make me tea & see me off in a car he arranged to take me to the airport. Thank you Prasad for making my stay with you so special- I really appreciate you & the care you take of everyone.

Prasad was welcoming, well-organized, and methodical throughout our five-night stay. One of the highlights was how he made each breakfast unique, introducing us to different local foods each day and taking the time to explain what we were eating. He also provided fantastic local tips, recommending the best beaches to visit and the right whale-watching tour to choose. He even guided us to the pier and recommended the best seats for the tour. It was always very thoughtful and made our stay a lot more enjoyable.

The host guided me carefully, cleaned the accommodation cleanly for two nights and three days, and replaced towels. The meal was generous and delicious. Whenever I went outside every day, the host put pretty real flowers in my head or hung them around my neck, so I felt good. The beach is close, so the location of the accommodation is good. The lounge and dining room are decorated with beautiful colors to upgrade the travel mood. If I go to Mirisa, it is an accommodation I really want to stay again.
