Perfect location, lovely breakfast, comfortable room, extremely good value, and most of all the host, Madu, was super chill and super helpful

Breakfast was a feast! Lots of choice and delicious. Rooms were very comfy, showers good. Madu was so helpful, finding us transport and advising re things to see Set back from the main road so very peaceful. Would definitely recommend staying here - just cross the main road to the beach

Madu was a fantastic host and really helpful and welcoming. The rooms were spacious, clean and perfect for what we needed, by far the nicest rooms we stayed in during our travels around Sri Lanka! “Fantastic guesthouse and a truly lovely family.”

This is the best place I have stayed during my month in Sri Lanka. I had an excellent stay with Madu and his family, who are not only genuinely kind people, but also very helpful – for example with airport transfers and when I wanted to come back and stay with them again. The guesthouse is located away from the main roads, so it’s peaceful and quiet, yet perfectly situated in relation to the beach, massage places, etc. you can see the sunset from the balcony. I stayed here twice, and both rooms were spacious, bright, and very clean. There is also hot water, air conditioning, towels, and everything else you might need. A delicious breakfast is served as well. I can highly recommend this place to others, as it feels both safe and very cozy, with a really good atmosphere. I would absolutely return here myself.

I booked a 10-day stay, but ended up staying at the guest house for 2 months. Great location, close to the ocean, shops, and lots of cafes. Madu and his family are just wonderful, and during my stay I became part of the family. Madu is very responsive and always ready to help with any questions. I also want to mention the excellent Wi-Fi in the guest house (which was important for my work) and the super delicious breakfasts every morning! I will definitely return when I visit Mirissa again!

“Awesome stay in Mirissa”

We stayed for 3 nights and had an exceptional experience. The room was very large and extremely clean. Two of the rooms are completely new and furnished to a very high standard. Madu, the owner, and his family are incredibly friendly and welcoming. He gave us many useful tips and helped us book tours. Especially for the whale watching tour, this was perfectly arranged. Madu was always very attentive and made sure we felt comfortable at all times. The breakfast was very good, with lots of fresh fruits, eggs and toast, tea and every day something special. The location is perfect — everything is within walking distance, yet the guesthouse is located in a very quiet area, which makes it ideal for a good night’s sleep. We can absolutely recommend this accommodation.

“Lovely stay in Mirissa”

Lovely comfortable stay in a quiet street but still walking distance to the main strip, beach and restaurants. Huge bed in the room. Very big, fresh breakfast. Family were very friendly and helpful, helped us with laundry, booking a massage, and booking a driver to Udawalawe. Great curry buffet restaurant on the corner. The main road area of Mirissa is very loud and busy, especially during peak times, so it was great to stay a bit away from the chaos.

“A wonderful stay with an incredibly welcoming host”

We had a wonderful stay at Bisandu guesthouse. From the very first moment, we felt truly welcome. Madu is an incredibly helpful, kind, and service-minded host who always gave great recommendations and was very flexible to our needs. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was absolutely delicious, with a fresh fruit platter every day and often some tasty Sri Lankan dishes as well. Madu’s family was lovely, and it was a real pleasure staying with them. We felt very comfortable and would warmly recommend this guesthouse to anyone.

The best place for stay in Mirissa! Owner and his family is super friendly and kindly help you arrange trips (snake farm, crocodile watching, etc.), stuff is new and clean. Rooms are big and full of light. Really thanks for nice time spended here, we will come back again! ♥️

Madu and is lovely family were the most amazing hosts! The guesthouse itself is lovely - clean, comfortable rooms with a great shower and air con. Madu and his mother cooked us delicious breakfasts every day with egg, fresh fruit and a sri lankan dish too! The guesthouse is in the perfect location, just a short walk away from coffee shops, restaurants, bars and, of course, the gorgeous beach! Our highlight was getting to know Madu who was so helpful and recommended us lots of great activities and places to visit, and helped us get around in his Tuktuk! Would recommend to anyone - book!! ☺️

“Fantastic stay/fast Wi-Fi in Mirissa”

We were upgraded to a brand new bigger room which was huge sparkling clean with a nice balcony fantastic shower with hot water great water pressure and massive very comfortable bed. Aircon works perfectly as does the Wi-Fi which is full fibre. Shared kitchen with fridge is just outside the room. We enjoyed a great breakfast each morning and had fun watching the monkeys in the trees. Madu kindly recommended a spa and arranged transport to and from it - he is also available to take you anywhere in his tuk tuk which is really convenient. So many restaurants in a few minutes and the beach right opposite the side road the guest house is on. We can’t wait to go back and highly recommend a stay with Madu and his lovely family if you are in Mirissa.

Clean and cozy room, kind hosts, excellent location. Stayed here for three days and enjoyed it a lot. Guys here are very friendly, they even helped me to get a city center at night. Food is delicious

Madu was friendly, very helpful and had excellent contacts for tours, drivers for remaining legs of our holiday, etc. Manu went out of his way to ensure a perfect stay. Breakfast each day was wonderful and plentiful. The beach, restaurants etc were all very close by. Very good value for money!
