Loved my stay at Balena Regency Hotel, Sri Lanka. The staff were warm and welcoming, the rooms were comfortable and spacious with balcony, and the peaceful atmosphere made it very relaxing.

The perfect find for our family of 4 for 3 nights! Peacefully tucked away amongst nature but only minutes from main beach/ restaurants. Friendly family run- most delicious and generous breakfast. Very relaxing and quiet pool setting, watched fruit bats fly around at dusk. Highly recommend!

Room Facilities- The rooms were spacious The rooms had a huge balcony where you could have your morning tea / coffee Washrooms had 24/7 hot and cold water Location - The hotel is located at a 5min walk from the beach. Swimming Pool - The hotel has a nice swimming pool. We did not use the pool but it was a well maintained one. Beach Towels - The hotel does provide beach towels

Exceptional stay! The hotel is in a perfect location just a short walk to the beach, yet peaceful and quiet. The rooms are spacious, clean, and very comfortable with a nice balcony view. The staff were extremely friendly, helpful, and always ready to assist with anything we needed. The pool area was relaxing and well maintained. Overall, great value for money and I would definitely come back again. Highly recommended

“Excellent hotel in the center of Mirissa.”

The property is close to the beach and really - to everything. Very good location. In the same time it's a bit off from the main road that makes it a quiet place. The breakfast took a bit time but that is usual in Sri Lanka but it was very nicely served and really tasty.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay! The highlight for me was definitely the massive swimming pool—it was clean, spacious, and the perfect place to relax. The hotel itself was top-notch, with great service and a very welcoming atmosphere.

Great location for Marissa beach which is a fabulous beach check out the three wooden covered beds on the right hand side as you join the beach. Easy walk to lots of restaurants and bars and shops. The pool is clean and very quiet although we didn’t use it. Bed was comfortable and good sized room with balcony. The lift was very useful.

“A warm welcome and a fab breakfast”

We had a lovely stay at Ballena Regency in Jan 2026. We were there as a family with our 3yo and parents. The staff were really welcoming ,friendly and helpful. The rooms were spacious and comfortable and we saw some great Birdlife from our 3rd floor balcony. The Sri Lankan breakfast was great,with a range of curries, roti, fruit, hoppers and more. We also ate dinner there one evening and had the best pineapple curry. A lovely pool and all round great place to stay.

Clean pool. Breakfast is nice and plentiful. Staff are very friendly. Location is good 2 minute walk to beach and many restaurants. Very peaceful can recommend.

This hotel is a paradise. Amazing people, very big and clean rooms. The swimming pool is just wow, clean, warm and big. Close to the beach and city and in very quiet area. We recommend this hotel 100%. Everything was perfect and very high standart. Thank you all the staff working there for taking such a good care of their clients. We loved their dog Gigi ❤️
