“Nine unforgettable days at Casa Ortensia”

We spent nine unforgettable days at Casa Ortensia, a beautifully situated apartment nestled in a lemon grove in Minori. From its terrace, you can admire stunning views of the town, the surrounding hills, and, of course, the glittering sea. Minori itself is a hidden gem on the Amalfi Coast — smaller and quieter than its more famous neighbors, yet every bit as charming. The sun and sea are the same as in Amalfi or Positano, but here there are no queues for ice cream, no crowds at restaurants — just calm, authentic Italian life. It’s also a perfect base for exploring the coast, as well as Naples and Pompeii. We visited in October, and the town was wonderfully peaceful while still lively, with everything open and welcoming. The apartment has everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay — a well-equipped kitchen, air conditioning, and a spacious terrace with sun loungers where you can relax and soak up the Mediterranean sunshine. Though the apartment sits high above the town, it’s only a pleasant 15-minute walk to the center and the beach. A city bus also stops nearby. With two bedrooms, a cozy living area, a kitchenette, and a large bathroom, it’s ideal for couples or families alike. But what truly makes Casa Ortensia special are its hosts — Mrs. Ornelia and her wonderful family. Their warmth and generosity made us feel not like guests, but like old friends returning home. From the very first moment, Mrs. Ornelia greeted us with a smile in the town center, guided us to the parking area on her scooter, and pointed out the best local shops. Her son helped us with our luggage, while her husband kindly stocked the fridge with fresh juices — naturally made from their own lemons! The family runs a flourishing lemon orchard, and they share its treasures with their guests: delicious juice, fragrant marmalade, limoncello, and even their own wine — all homemade and absolutely divine. One evening, to our surprise, Mrs.

We absolutely loved being in amongst the lemon plantations at the beginning of the lemon trail. The outdoor area was perfect for eating dinner and having a drink in front of the sunset, looking over the valley and sea. Ornella and her husband were fantastic hosts, they were particularly helpful when it came to the check in process which made our stay even better. Would highly recommend this accomodation🙂

Host: We received a very warm welcome in Minori. The owner picked us up from the bus stop and helped us with our luggage. As the accommodation is located a little higher up on the hill and can only be reached via many stairs, this was a great help. She also informed us about current events in Minori and was always happy to answer our questions. She also makes delicious lemon syrup and lemon marmalade, which are available to purchase from her. Location: The location is great, the view from the balcony and roof terrace is really beautiful, and there are several hiking trails in the immediate vicinity. Since the accommodation has two apartments, we weren't completely alone, but it was still quiet. Facilities: The apartment has everything you need. The kitchen is small but well equipped with cutlery, plates, and pots. There are two air conditioners that worked perfectly.

Fantastic view of Minori, mountains and the Amalfi coast. A holiday home in a lemon plantation. Very clean and practical for the family. We prepared pasta dishes and enjoyed the local wine.

Cozy apartment with a stunning view. I was especially impressed by the terrace. Very nice and friendly owners. Ornella was very nice and tried to help with all questions. Private parking for 15 euros per day.

The best view that never loses its charm. Very peaceful place. Lovely host, always happy to help. So many places to explore in the area.

The view was spectacular, it was well equipped and private. Everyone was super helpful, from local recommdations to carrying our luggage up to the house.

Minori is a lovely little town at the foot of Ravello - authentic and friendly. Restaurant La Botte was fabulous. The house has a stunning view across to Ravello and along the Amalfi Coast, with lovely immediate surrounds of vines and lemon trees. The rooftop terrace was gorgeous.

The hosts were wonderful. The house was spotless and the views were spectacular. We loved sitting out at night on the terrace as the sun set. The local bus was great dropping you most of the way up the hill. There are still a few steps to climb but we did as the locals did and went slowly stopping to catch our breath while enjoying the views. The town of minori is lovely - so much quieter and authentic than amalfi. I also should mention the lemoncello and lemon juice that our hosts make. Delicious. We had a lovely 6 days in minori.

The location is very green and it is close to the lemon trail. The apartment is not too big but it has all basics that one needs on budget accommodation. There's a terrace in front of the apartment but we could not consider it private. It was a lemon harvesting period and workers were passing by the entry door. There's a nice view over the hills, Minori and the seaside from the terrace. Paid private parking was available. It was safe and it was cheaper than other parking options in the area. The hosts were easy to reach, attentive and kind. They helped with the luggage to and from the apartment, which was really kind of them.

I really liked the hospitality and support given by the landlady. She is very kind hand helps you get around the town and surrounding area.
