Overview
This downtown Minneapolis hotel is 4 minutes from the Minneapolis Convention Center and features an on-site restaurant and indoor pool. Modern rooms are furnished with a 42-inch flat-screen cable TV. Coffee machines and a hair dryer are also included in each of the rooms. Originally built in 1941 as a bank, The Westin Minneapolis retains the building’s history with B.A.N.K. Restaurant and Lounge. Serving American cuisine all day, the restaurant has an open kitchen and oval bar. Free access to the gym and hot tub is provided to all hotel guests. Massage services are offered as well as a business center and an on-site gift shop. A refrigerator is standard in every spacious room at the Minneapolis Westin. Decorated with earth tones and wood furniture, all rooms include a seating area and laptop-compatible safety deposit box. The Mall of America, the country’s largest mall, and Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport are just 12 miles away.

I had booked this hotel for my colleagues who were travelling on business. There feedback was that The Hotel was run down and definatley not worth the very expensive room rate . There was no hot water for a shower and when this was mentioned to Reception it was advised that it takes 10-15 mins for the water to get hot on the higher floors!

“Grandson's first football game!”
The hotel is part of an old bank, and the dining room is in the old bank lobby, which is nice. Meals were good, a bit $$$$. But Thomas our waiter made it worthwhile, always smiling and happy to help you decide. All of the staff were always kind and ready to assist in any way. Location is close to US Bank Stadium, we were there for football game. Parking garage across street from hotel. Rooms were clean, comfortable, need some updating. Pool was big hit for grandson.

“Don't stay here on Saturdays and Sundays, the hotel is very empty and so is the neighborhood.”
The room was OK, nothing special but a very nice shower. The building is nice, an old bank converted into a hotel. Other than that, not up to Westin standards. The only (very) bright spot was Natasha at the check-in counter, very nice, efficient and very helpful in giving us directions and suggesting places to go.

“Great location in a historic building”
We enjoyed the comfortable beds, great location, great hotel bar and access to the parking ramp via skyway. We also really enjoyed having a pool and hot tub. Very cool, historic building as well
