Everything! This was the best property we stayed at in Ecuador.Margarit is exceptional with sharing ideas and activity options. The room looks out to the forest which has plenty of beautiful feathered visitors. Food was fabulous. Bed/shower facilities were all amazing 🤩

Big comfy bed, delicious breakfast with a different ecuadorian option (next to continental) every day, waking up and seeing hummingbirds and tucans outside of your window. Everything beautifully decorated and clean. Umbrellas available, drinking water, coffee and tea available for free and complete silence even though its a 5 minute walk from town.

Very nice location and beautiful hotel. Shower was big and had hot water. Bed was very comfy and the room was very big. The common space/restaurant was very nice because you looked out at the trees and all the birds. The food was also very nice here

“Amazing!”

The hotel is really amazing! Everything looks nice and is very clean. The staff is super friendly and loves to help you with anything. The food is extremely good! We had dinner and breakfast at the hotel, everything was delicious! Also the location is perfect, close to the centre of Mindo. We had an amazing time here!

Great location very comfortable beds and very friendly and helpful staff. Margarita was so helpful she made our stay really special giving us advice on how to make the most of our time in Mindo and helping us with booking taxis. Lovely breakfast with views of the humming birds.

“Wonderful stay at Margarit Boutique hotel”

Lovely little hotel right in the center of Mundo. The main living and dining area is open to the incredible garden in the back with feeders for birds and hummingbird feeders and you can hear the the fast flowing River. Our hostess Margarita was wonderful as were all her staff. The breakfasts were excellent with lots of choices and we ate all three dinners there. Our room was large. The beds were great as was the bathroom with lots of hot water. With Margarita's help e were able to do a fabulous bird watching tour as well as go on our own via taxi to the butterfly center and a place to watch hummingbirds and have them feed right out of your hand. It rains a lot in Mindo at least at the end of November, so be prepared with waterproof jackets and warm clothing. We were able to borrow umbrellas and a hair dryer which really helped. Margarita also arranged for an excellent driver to take us back to Quito.

Very friendly and responsive host Margarit gave us tips on the town and was flexible with our check-out time. I recommend taking a room with a view to the river. We enjoyed our quiet stay there on weekdays. It was amazing to wake up and see all kinds of birds!! The hotel is modern and well designed, reflecting the bird environment right in the jungle. Highly recommended!

“Wonderful Mindo stay”

Margarita and her team are exceptional. Welcoming. Attentive. Informative. The location is excellent. The open restaurant looks into the jungle garden with large numbers of colourful birds. The place is modern. They arranged trips for us. We booked three nights but ended up staying five nights and were reluctant to leave. The entire Mindo experience was wonderful. Small friendly town, accessible cloud forest activities.

The hotel was clean, comfortable, quiet and safe. It was perfectly situated, close to the centre of town but also easy to get to activities in the forest. The food was home cooked and absolutely delicious, and the rooms were very comfortable. I slept so well during my stay! I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Mindo.

“Faultless Stay”

Our stay in Margarit Boutique Hotel exceeded our expectations. The central communal space was wonderful, with a close up view of the hummingbirds feeding a few feet away. Margarit gave us a warm welcome and showed us to our beautiful room which was far more gorgeous than expected. Breakfast was delicious and the staff were exceedingly helpful. We booked a Bird Watching Tour that Margarit organised for us and it was everything we hoped it would be. The location of the hotel was also excellent.

“Perfect place to stay in Mindo!”

Friendliness and kindness of all the staff - especially Josslyn and Margarit. Josslyn organised a bird spotting tour for us late the night before. The room opened up to the rainforest - really special! Comfortable beds and great shower. Very good breakfast. Wonderful dining area open to the rainforest and gorgeous hummingbirds! Secure parking for our motorbike.

Everything was perfect. Leo was amazing kind and helpful with things to see and do. Even went out of his way to get the ingredients for our favourite cocktail.

Room No.1 is excellent, especially for birders! Margarita was exceptional, very helpful and guided us in the right direction on all information. A+, look no further if you are planning a trip to Mindo! Breakfast was super tasty 😋

This is a haven in Mindo. The location is perfect, just outside the main area and easy and safe to walk around. The decor is homely and modern. The people were so welcoming and couldn’t do enough to help me enjoy my time in Mindo. Very knowledgable about the local area and bird life. Helped me to booked transport so I felt safe as a solo female traveller. This is the place you should choose to stay in Mindo if you want a friendly, local experience that feels luxurious and safe. Thank you so much for making my Mindo experience a fantastic one :-)

“Don’t skip magical Mindo!”

I loved staying at Margarit Boutique Hotel, it was a highlight of my seven week trip. The hotel is spotlessly clean, so comfortable, and so much thought has gone into the beautiful design. I literally watched the hummingbirds and other varieties for hours. It’s in a peaceful location on the edge of the town, felt very safe and walkable for a solo traveller. It was easy to get to from Quito Airport, and the perfect place to relax before or after an active adventure tour! They had lots of activity suggestions, and the breakfast was my favourite of my trip. Margarit and all the staff are lovely, shoutout to Ana and Valeria <3 Thank you team for a wonderful visit!

This property is absolutely beautiful. A few minutes walk from town, the common area and rooms are stunning and we felt so relaxed and well taken care of during our stay. Margarit and her staff were all so lovely and helpful with making recommendations and booking tours/taxis. The breakfast was delicious, our favourite of the trip so far.
