“Fabulous place and Host”
The location was fabulous.... Less than 5 minutes walk to the beach.... 10 minutes walk to the ferry terminal and 15mins walk to the city centre passed the beautiful marina. Umberto was a true gentleman, contact with him was outstanding, he sent me his number to WhatsApp, he was generous enough to pick me up from the ferry terminal when I arrived. Showed me around the area. Gave me key tips where to go what to eat etc. Arranged my taxi for a early flight and got me a discount. The property itself was far better than the photos. It's basically a very nice 3 bedroom apartment. However it spilt into 3 rooms. Double with private bathroom, and 2 twin rooms with a shared bathroom. The apartment is secure and on the 2nd floor. A outside locked gate, locked front door then a apartment door, plus a additional lock on your own private room. The apartment has a shared kitchen, you get your own cupboard with a key to get your rooms own dishes, pots and pans to use on the stove top and oven.large living area. Really great balcony with a view of th beach and mountains to watch the sunset. I stayed for 6 nights and if I was to return to mindelo I'd 100% return and stay again. The price was also unbelievable.

Host is very friendly & helpful. Apartment was comfortable and is very spacious. View from terrace is a nice coastal view of the port and Santo Antao. Quiet neighbourhood.

Well equiped kitchen and nice view on the bay. Good price/value ratio. Bed was comfortable and bathroom was clean, but toilet paper was being missed for some time. Owner is a friendly, helpful Italian senhor that can also speak English and French.

“Great holiday feeling!”
Great holiday feeling! The apartement is hugh, has a large living room with a sofa to read travel books on. You will enjoy a large, well equipped kitchen, can eat your breakfast in the kitchen, your lunch on the dining table in the area of the living room and your dinner on the balcony, enjoying the sunset. Everywhere very clean. Shower with full power and hot. Washing machine on a second little balcony. Great view from the balcony, you can see the beach, city, mountains. Safe and quite quartier, italian bakery, local and chinese restaurant, grossery shop in walking distance. Next bus stop in 3 minutes walk for a 5 min ride to the harbour for catching the ferry to Santo Antao. The manager is very friendly and makes you feel taken care off in the best way, he knows the whole island, speaks several languages, we had talks about many interesting subjects, me and another guest could even get a hitch hike ride to the eastern part of the islands in his car the other day, GRAZIE MILLE Umberto, next time I will travel to Sao Vicente I will definitely try to get a room in your Recanto Verde Cara again!
