The view from the apartment is absolutely awesome!!! The apartment itself is spacious, comfortable, clean and nicely decorated. Many books in the library, including a comprehensive selection of Cape Verde travel guides. The kitchen is fully equipped. Excellent location at the fringe of Mindelo, within 10 minutes walking distance from the city center, the harbour, the art museum etc. Supermarket within 5 minutes walking distance. Reliable pick up service provided. Very friendly and helpful host. Excellent communication. We will stay here again. Recommended.

“Comfortable, stay in large modern apartment with superb city views.”

Comfortable, clean apartment, great views out over the city and harbour, huge sofa was a real treat after traveling for a few weeks. Easy to walk to city centre, 20 mins dawdle to great beach, up on the hill overlooking the city, so cool sunset and dawn views, quiet apartment with all the windows shut, but worth knowing about the bugle from the army base which keeps regular TAPS, and the usual Cape Verdean things, dogs, cockrells, nothing to do with the host and just life in the city. Fresh breeze when the windows open, we stayed in December, so the fan in the bedroom was fine to keep us cool. Water pressure in the shower excellent and the rooms all large and well maintained. Bed linen soft, plenty of towels. Kitchen had plenty of pans, plates, etc, with coffee machine, kettle and breville. But only salt, no oil, or other basics, not even water. The beds were comfortable and the lady - Arlinda - who met us, and helped us out with Taxi's etc was charming, responsive and very helpful. You'll need to specify you want to opt out of her house cleaning if you don't want it. Host was response and helpful, neighbourhood is interesting, with a wide diversity of people & families living around, with street lighting all the way up, but worth getting a taxi back in the night if you're nervous. We felt completely safe when walking around. Wifi fast and reliable, TV had plenty of choice and there's a cool sound system for local radio, a must! Walking distance to good bakery and few interesting restaurants and Terra Lodge, for the obligatory cocktail, terrace at sunset ( but book if you want to get a table). We stayed for Xmas and it was a laid back stay, no problems and comfortable.

“Good view and budget price - Comfort of beds not acceptable”

I am writing this review 21.2.2023, more than 1 month after the end of my trip to Cabo Verde, so I will not remember all details: The view is indeed as in the fotos and it is nice when you arrive. However, I have rarely spent time to watch the view. It is mostly quiet, despite of the complaints from other guests on booking.com. The price was good for staying there more than a week over christmas and new year alone with Genius discount. The owner is knowledgeable and can provide information and help in several languages. Mindelo is very small so there is hardly any place which can be considered "far" or "remote".

“Quiet and Peaceful”

This is by far the best accommodation we had in Capo Verde ( in 1+mo). The place is sparkling clean and the view from the balcony is really nice. WiFi was working above the average and everything was better than presented. The apartment is really big and spacious, well equipped with everything someone needs for proper living there. It was a calm and peaceful atmosphere and unlike other apartments, in this one you could see a personal note, like it is made for someone to live there not just to unpack their suitcase. I left the best part to the end, but the host is a very kind, inspiring person. Communication with Rafael was very easy and his desire to go beyond made us feel like home. Definetly a place we would return whenever landing in Sao Vicente.
