The view is absolutely incredible, and the peace that permeates this place is wonderful. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and they also give you lots of tips on what to do nearby. You can also wash your clothes there and they will return them clean and folded. We were so lucky that almost every morning two toucans came to visit us, sometimes two squirrels, and of course many different kinds of birds. Keep in mind that the bungalow doesn't have glass windows, so you'll hear the cicadas and salamanders all night long, and the birds will wake you up very early in the morning. You might also encounter the occasional spider. I don't recommend bringing heavy suitcases as access to each bungalow is a bit difficult.

“Paradise!!!”

This place was magical, we heard and saw so many birds directly in front of our "room", which was more or less a house we had to our own, surrounded by nature and hammocks. It was not too close to town so it was pretty calm, but also not too far out, it was possible to walk about ten minutes to restaurants and shops. The breakfast and food in general were great. We loved the fact that - compared to other accomodations around - they had mosquito nets at the windows, so you could feel the breeze at night, but not have (too many) insects in the room.

“A little paradise in Minca”

We loved the place! It’s high up in the jungle, yet near town at the same time. It’s a little paradise with birds chirping from dusk. The hut is a dream with hammocks on the terrace. All the staff are super helpful. I loved every second of our stay.

The property had excellent views across and back to the City of Santa Marta, you felt really connected with the wildlife and the views from breakfast were fantastic.

Minca Ecohabs is a wonderful place. The location is excellent: easy access from the town and you have your own private mirador to spot all the biodiversity. Personnel is super friendly and helpful!

“A Wonderful stay”

The location amongst the trees although there was some road noise & music from the nearby Hotel Mirador. I had an upstairs room & it felt like being in a tree house. Listening to & watching the birds. Saw toucans walking to breakfast one morning. Loved having a balcony with a hammock. The fridge came in useful. My only suggestion would be have somewhere to hang clothes as there is room for this. Enjoyed the walk to breakfast & the restaurant was a very civilised room with balcony. There were 3 choices for breakfast which was delicious. Staff were all helpful & friendly. Booked a bird watching tour with reception which was very good. Appreciated being able to boil water in reception to make my own coffee. Massage parlour available but didn't make use of it. Laundry service available but 4 times the price of places in the town.

The staff was very accommodating and pleasant. The food was superb, and the setting and rooms were beautiful and so peaceful. It was nice to have a bit of distance from the town centre but still an easy walk.

Excellent location with a great viewpoints. Walking distance to city area of Minca. Clean facility and very friendly and helpful staff. Tucans all around! There is a “nightclub” not so far away, we stayed during the weekend but didn’t found the noise loud or around.

Stunning views. You’re in the middle of the djungle surrounded by toucans and all kinds of colourful birds. Check your rooms for spiders, they like the ecohabs as well ;)

“The perfect Minca experience”

Beautiful Bamboo Architecture in vast grounds, very helpful and friendly staff. Fun spanish chef. In the middle of nature but close enough to walk into Minca.

Located on a hill with a nice view on the mountains and Santa Marta city. English speaking staff - what was unique in Colombia and very helpful! Spacious houses and hammocks which were great to get some rest after the trekking. Be mindful that since it is located on a hill you will need to climb with your luggage or take a mototaxi to get there.
