Incredible place! Very friendly service, communication was very easy through WhatsApp with Leon. Room had an incredible view and you can really hear the birds and the sounds of the forest! The viewpoint is really the best, with amazing drinks and bartender. Will come back!

A lovely large property. We were lucky as stayed in TiTi so didn't have to walk up lots of steps to get to it. The bar at the look out was good but there were a family using drones whilst watching the sunset which is quite off putting and intrusive. The staff were all very friendly and very easy to communicate with.

This stay was everything we could have hoped for and more. What a special corner of the world and what a special place La Casa Del Mono is. We stayed in the Cabaña Titi and it completely exceeded our expectations. Beautifully designed, spotless, and so thoughtfully equipped with everything you could possibly need, from a washing machine and hairdryer to extra blankets, a fully stocked kitchen and even games. Every detail felt considered. The communication, local tips and genuine hospitality made the whole experience seamless from start to finish. And beyond the cabin itself, the mirador sunset patio is pure magic. Watching the sun go down from up there is unforgettable. John makes incredible cocktails, the spicy margarita is a must, and Leon and Federico were always so warm, welcoming and helpful. We also loved being able to order food from town straight to the sunset spot, which quickly became our nightly ritual. Thank you for the most wonderful stay. We would have happily stayed much longer if we could.

“A strong recommendation in Minca”

We booked Casa del Mono primarily due to walking access to Minca, for which it is perfect. We also got a fantastic host in Leon, good communication throughout and a good bloke. Considering the location the accommodation punches above its weight, stylish, comfortable and everything you will need. We were there during a huge storm and the whole electric supply was knocked out. We still had power at night thanks to the generator and also hot water as it is gas powered - brilliant. Not all houses have expansive views, so you are more in the jungle. This makes an evening at the viewpoint even more special. Spectacular views, plenty of seating and view points, a camp fire and John behind the bar knocking up fantastic cocktails and lovely service. Do not miss There are also good restaurant options closer to Casa del Mono than going down to Minca, something we didn’t know before but took advantage of.

“Paradise on the hill overlooking Minca town.”

La Casa del Mono is absolute paradise. It's a boutique property with 4 large bungalows set on the hill above Minca town. The bungalows are absolutely heaven with a view over the valley down to Santa Marta, from both 'inside' (there are no windows, just screens to keep bugs out) and the large balcony. It is extremely well appointed with a large kitchen and even a washing machine which was very much appreciated after a muddy day of quad biking. Paula is super lovely and helpful and able to arrange whatever is needed and John at the bar makes a mean Caprioska. The property is isolated enough to be extremely chilled and relaxing, but only a 5-minute drive to the bustling Minca town.

I stayed for two nights and wished I had booked longer. The location is perfect. Peaceful, surrounded by nature and close to both the town square and Pozo Azul waterfalls. The views, especially from the viewpoint were stunning. The staff were excellent and Paula deserves special mention for her attentive and helpful support throughout my stay. A fantastic place to relax, enjoy nature, and experience the beauty of the Minca, Sierra Nevada. Highly recommended.

“The Perfect Minca Spot”

Massive bungalow, (for 2 of us) set up with a Kitchen and all the required equipment to use it properly. The washing machine was a great extra too. The balcony was great with the netted laying area. The site is only 1km from town so a walk down and to surrounding areas was easy. Plenty of moto taxi options to run you back up the hill to the front gate when done. The viewpoint and bar were great! Great staff and great communication from Paula from start to finish! Hard to believe we had better wifi & hot water here than we did in Santa Marta & Burritaca! Highly recommend.

“The perfect stay!”

I've stayed in a lot of lodge-type places across Africa and Asia, but have never stayed in one where every single thing is thought about and considered. Casa de Mono has a few different lodges scattered around in the grounds. We stayed in the one called 'Cabaña Aulladur' which from what I can tell has the best view. The lodge is seriously kitted out. It has everything from yoga mats and hiking sticks to torches and a first aid kit. It has a hammock inside and out, has all the appliances you could want to cook and eat with, and even a washing machine, water filtration system and TV. Furthermore, arriving to a complementary fruit bowl and bottle of wine is adorable. It's all very well designed, beautifully curated and despite having lovely soft furnishings and plenty of pillows and cushions, it doesn't smell damp. Quite a feat! Paula is so informative and was so helpful before arrival and on arrival. She was also on hand throughout our stay (Alex too) and helped organise transportation to La Victoria coffee farm, and even getting a takeaway dropped off to our lodge from a restaurant in the village. What fabulous service! The bar area and view point (open 1600-2100) within the grounds serve delicious and creative cocktails using local produce and other drinks - a perfect way to watch an amazing sunset with Lisa - the friendliest cat! They'll even set a table for you and help you get a takeaway delivered from any restaurant in town, if you don't feel like the 15 minute walk. This place was so beautiful we didn't want to leave. It truly was a spectacular stay!

My partner and I recently had the immense pleasure of spending three nights at Casa del Mono during our honeymoon, and it was, without exaggeration, absolutely stunning. Tucked away in the mountains of Minca, this location is an absolute paradise that offered us the perfect romantic escape. The first thing that hits you is the breathtaking view. From our cabin, we overlooked the lush, rolling hills—a sight that truly never gets old and provides the most incredible backdrop for morning coffee and sunset cocktails. It’s the kind of view you see on postcards, but infinitely better in person. What truly set Casa del Mono apart was the meticulous attention to detail. Every aspect of our stay was flawlessly managed; we literally didn't need to lift a finger for anything outside of our own food and drinks. The accommodation felt completely self-contained and perfectly equipped, showing that every single detail was thought out. The entire location, from the common areas to the fantastic bar, was kept spotless thanks to the incredible staff. Every person we interacted with was welcoming, attentive, and professional, ensuring our stay was seamless and stress-free. The entire team made us feel like royalty. We loved every single moment of our stay and couldn't recommend Casa del Mono highly enough, especially for couples seeking an idyllic, detail-oriented, and scenic retreat. It's a memory we'll cherish forever.
