“Beautiful nature and a bit run down room”

Very beautiful nature and surroundings. It’s difficult to get there and back if you don’t have a car. I guess a motor taxi will do the job.

The views were amazing (I had booked a ‘deluxe’ room with balcony) and exactly as the photos. And the staff were very helpful as my room has a steep and uneven path which was about a 10 minute walk - they very kindly offered to bring rooms to me as I have some issues walking at moment waiting for an operation.

Nice room with outdoor shower with an amazing view! You can see monkeys directly from the room and hummingbirds while having breakfast! The sunsets from there are fantastic!

The staff is super attentive, great customer service. The breakfast is typical from the region so I like it. They helped us calling the motos and the Jeep to go back to the town, the hotel itself is an experience with the waterfall, the hiking, the view points, the birds! Excellent! Extra point, the are 10 minutes walking from the famous Hacienda La Victoria, so this is a plus.

The location had a nice bird feeder which allowed viewing and photography. The property was extensive with pool, hot tub and a wonderful viewpoint.

The property itself is beautiful, hidden in the jungle. The staff is very nice.

Colores de la Sierra is a charming guesthouse nestled in the heart of greenery and nature. What makes Colores de la Sierra unique is its authenticity, its respect for the environment, the vast land it extends over, and above all the close connection you can experience with the local flora and fauna. The staff are nothing short of kind, smiling, and helpful — it truly feels like a family atmosphere. Personally, I found the food to be really, really delicious (!!) Magnificent sunset 🌅 Highly recommended!

“Jungle escape with delicious food!”

The staff is very friendly and was very helpful when my husband got sick. The food and breakfast is amazing and has a very reasonable price! You are free to choose some stuff at the breakfast so it never gets boring. The place is a paradise in nature and has a place where they put food for birds so you will be lucky to see many of them!

I enjoyed seeing the many birds and animals on the grounds, including some very polite dogs and one friendly parrot. The hotel has many bird feeders to attract wildlife, as well as keeping some free ranging pets. The viewpoint with its bar offered some excellent views and ambiance. The property is very quiet, one can enjoy the sounds of the forest Getting there was actually very easy and the overpriced 4x4 taxi we were told we need was an absolute overkill. Totally unnecessary, any car would go most of the way, only the last little patch was unpaved, but still easily walkable in flipflops. There was no mosquitoes during our stay. We had steak for dinner, it was tasty and reasonably priced.

“Beautiful property, friendly staff”

This place was a little outside our budget but we decided to stay here based on the other reviews and we were not disappointed! The staff were friendly, the coffee was delicious and plentiful. But the location and the grounds are what sets this place apart, never stayed anywhere quite like it. There is a little waterfall on the property you can walk out to, they have a really neat viewpoint set up, and the wildlife is incredible. We saw humming birds, a toucan, and ate breakfast with a parrot. Its a little ways out of Minca town, so you'll likely want to hire a 4x4 for about 60 to 70k pesos from town. But it is possible to walk into town if you're feeling strong. Took us about an hour with our small kids. A normal car could take you most of the way, just the last bit requires a sturdier vehicle. The room we got was basic, but the place is being developed, so I'd expect the newer buildings are a little more glamorous. The shower was hot with good pressure and the rooms were clean overall.

An amazing property right up in the mountains. On site they have a waterfall, a natural swimming pool, and a massive sunset viewing point. You don’t even need to leave the hotel to appreciate Minca fully

The location and view of Santa Marta and the mountains are amazing. The room was clean, and the paths around the hotel and its facilities were very enjoyable.

Room was really nice, big comfy bed, nice balcony, nice outdoor shower with a view of the mountains, close to Minca town too, only about 10 minutes mototaxi

The setting is amazing - it's on a really large plot with a spectacular viewpoint area to hang out right at the end. The staff were really friendly. Though it's remote you can walk to a nearby coffee farm and also a cafe with a viewpoint. Onsite restaurant is simple but good.
