The staff and service was impeccable! The English speaking staff, whom I unfortunately was not able to get his name, was amazing! He was very attentive to our needs and provided translation when he knew we could not understand! He took a lot of initiative to ensure that we had a pleasant experience and even went above and beyond his way to help us source for the pillows that we used during the trip as we found them very comfortable! My family and I had a great time and we will definitely be back, thanks to the great service!

“Magnificent experience of staying over the fantastic view”

It was fantastic with picturisque view over the Aso five peaks alongside with grand plain of Senomoto highland. Absolutely great experience of hot spring, onsen, with open air public bath. Beautiful night sky view with splendid stars.

Good Dinner

“Senomoto is great for families using it as a base for Beppu”

We had the half board as a couple getaway, during our 10 day stint exploring Kyushu with in-laws. The property had clean rooms with modern furnishings. The yukata and slippers provided was very comfortable to lounge around the compound. Amenities are avilable upon check in at the lobby. You can choose your size of Yukata. Thoughtful touch and not just one size fits all. We had booked the private onsen for 1000yen. It was rather frills free but was wonderful as a precursor before our dinner at 6.30pm. U could choose from these timings: 6, 6.30 and 7. The half board was worth it as it had free flow liquer. Try the Hakutake Umepon! The next morning before breakfast, we explored the outdoor onsen (gender separated). It was surprisingly quite crowded for the female one. Very picturesque and tranquil albeit for the squeeze at the shower area. The breakfast was rather basic, after the fanfare that was dinner. But decent. One can have a short walk outside to explore the nearby swing, a nearby gift shop, or even fly a drone in their sprawling outdoor premise.

The public bathing area needs renovatoon and good maintenance

“Amazing view & onsen”

The location and view of the hotel was outstanding. Also the outside onsen are very nice. Our room was located in the newer building, with view on the Senomoto highlands and mount Aso, and it was very comfortable with an amazing view. We received a free upgrade :)

“Heartfelt gratitude”

The hotel and its surroundings are wonderful, offering my family and me a truly relaxing stay. I would also like to express my heartfelt gratitude to the hotel team and the staff at Semonto Rest Stop for their assistance when my family and I missed the bus back to Fukuoka. We were feeling lost and helpless due to the language barrier and difficulty finding transportation to Fukuoka. The hotel kindly sent an English-speaking staff member from Semonto Rest Stop, who helped us with all the necessary checks and communication. Thanks to his support, we were able to board the last bus to Fukuoka with ease. I am deeply grateful and appreciative, and words cannot fully express my thanks.

Liked the open air onsen. It was snowing that morning, it’s really beautiful. We liked the room very much.. had the mixed modern and tatami room. It’s really very nice and big. Comfortable for a family of 4-5. Good parking spaces.

Beautiful hotel surrounded by lovely views. Friendly staff. We got an upgraded room in new wing, very spacious room by Japanese standards. Perfect stay. We were told you can do start gazing on clear nights.

Buffet dinner is good. Facilities in the new building are modern and comfortable.
